The Final...

I guess it's time to start discussing thoughts and predictions about the Final.

As a starting point, not all the previous candidates will return for this episode. One who won't be is

Simon should not win , he has not shown any sign of genius , only that he can be trained. But SAS said that he wanted someone already made but they could just be moulded into his Apprentice. Out of the 6 people in the history of the Apprentice who have made the final 2 , he is the weakest.

Does anyone know if the job has been decided in advance, or whether the winning candidate is fitted to a job to suit their particular skills?

I really hope Kristina wins, as I think she has both experience and maturity on her side, together with a fairly formidable desire to progress now that her son is at university.

the job isn't decided in advance, they have worked for him for a number of months and if he thinks they are suitable they'll be offered a position that is available

From the BBC website:

Quote:
“... the final two work for Sir Alan before he decides who stays and who goes. Former runner-up Saira Khan has criticised the show because "the final decision is not based on the programme that people see, his final decision is based on these two people who have been working with him for the six months".”

I didn't realise this! I thought it was based mainly on the final task, plus perhaps a little consideration of their previous performances on the tasks. They should make this clearer on the show.

I'd like Kristina to win - she's done well in the tasks, she did good interviews and she stuck up for herself in the boardroom

Simon is way overrated and should have gone last week

How do you know that, Red?

Well if Simon was his third choice then as far as I'm concerned the winner must be Kristina!

However, reading the post about the finalists work for him before he actually decided does make more sense. After all he can then cut through the "cr*p" which they spewed out in the series and see who really is the real deal.

He/she was on "Car Park Catchphrase" on Chris Moyles' show on Radio 1 this morning, and he/she said that only some of the previous candidates were chosen, and he/she wasn't one of them!

I agree that it makes more sense, I just think they should make it clear in the programme that this is what happens, as it obviously has a bearing on the final result. Having said that, maybe they will in next week's episode.

Hmmm....I can't really see Nick and Margaret reading out the result of the task and then SAS saying "we're going away for eight months, see you in June" and they play a montage of these clips accompanied by Dolly Parton's 9 to 5-

Kristina shakes a wealthy buisnessman's hand.
Simon collects a stack of papers from a printer.
Kristina shares a joke with a dinnerlady at the Amstrad canteen
etc.
