Has the Final been filmed yet???

Hi. Can someone advise if the final has been filmed yet?? Just thought it a bit strange when Nick (SAS's right hand man) was asked who he thought would win he said he didn't know. I thought the series had been filmed months ago and just the You're Fired shows were filmed more recently.

Could be wrong tho I guess.

From what I know yes it has and two endings have being filmed. Both have be working for SAS for the last six months and on Tuesday SAS will pick the winner and then go off to film the last You're Fired.

The final task has definitely been filmed but I thought the actual final decision was to be done in the studio, if not purely live, then at sometime nearer the transmission date (i.e. it hasn't happened yet)

I really don't believe they would film two versions 'just in case' because it would guarantee that the reactions are not genuine. The whole thing would be fake and bizarre if you actually try to envisage it.

They *might*, however, have two sets of pre-edited VTs summarising the stories of both candidates as both 'loser' and 'winner', as you do have to have those sorts of things standing by ahead of time.

they don't seem to mind filming a fake & bizarre 'standing down' from Katie though

That was what I thought - that people genuinely don't know because the actual decision would be shown live (or at least, filmed very close to transmission).

2 endings have been filmed, one where simon wins, one where kristina wins. The final show will be shown to the adrian chiles audience on tuesday and then to the public at large on wednesday. SAS will tell S&K who has won on tues morning and then BBC will edit in the right ending

How do you know this? I really find it hard to believe that they would actually film two versions where each of them 'pretends' to be the winner, with the other one 'pretending' to be disappointed at losing. We are talking about some pretty professional acting skills needed there.

Any programme maker is going to want to capture that 'TV gold' moment when one of them wins and the other one loses. for real. I'll be watching to see how 'acted' it seems to be.

I seem to remember something about them having filmed two endings last year, I think Ruth mentioned it in an interview or something. I might be wrong.

As mrsrandyo has said, two ending were filmed last year and most likely have being done again this year.

I remember Ruth's reaction looked pretty fake last year when Michelle won.

It's the only way it can be done though as the series is filmed so long ago and the media would find out.

Jadine has shoulder length hair on the previews of the main task on BBC.co.uk so it must have been filmed recently

I know this is kind of off topic but i was wondering (and instead of making a whole new thread about it) are the old candidates invited back for the final task?? I didn't really watch last year's one so i don't really know how it worked and missed last weeks episode for the previews.

That's what happened in previous series. In the first series all the candidates came back and the finalists got to pick 3 each. In the second series only 6 came back so the finalists had less choice.

There are some preview clips on the bbc website, and from watching that, it seems that Simon has
Spoiler
Tre, Lohit, Jadine & Rory

working with him, while we see
Spoiler
Paul, Natalie & I think that's Adam lurking in the background

with Kristina.
Spoiler
She should have one more though. There's a distinct lack of Katie anywhere!

Yeh, i watched them yesterday just after i posted that message on here but i only seen Tre, Rory, some girl which i think was Natile.

But i wondered if that was it or if all were back etc. But is it 12 candidates? so that is alot of people 6 each.

Some people i want to see are Ghazel (ino many of you hate her but whatever!), the Quantum girl, Gerri and the guy who was fired first.

So are we still saying that two endings were filmed?

Did people think the "You're hired" moment (complete with SirAlan's 'silly old fool' comment) felt acted?

Apparently Simon confirmed onThis Morning today that they do indeed film two endings.

The finalists were told in person who won by Sir Alan, a couple of hours before the 'You're Fired' show recording.

but if the decision isn't made until several months after the filming of the final, why does Katie say that the winner had to start work a week later?

The two finalists both work for Siralan for six months. So both have to move without the guarantee of ending up with the job, if you want it in the first place that is!

There are also links to filming details/ secrets on this thread over in the TV section.
