Well, Phil Tufnell gets a big thumbs up from me! Glad to see he's got his priorities right,
I've taken an instant dislike to Toyah. What the hell is she on about re Sian Lloyd. Pretentious or what?

Chris and Phil look like they could be a good laugh....Linda seems very sweet

Poor Daniella... She used to be so lovely looking in her first Eastenders stint. First chance I've had to look at her new nose. Better than Michael Jacksons though.

Wayne Sleep is going to start to bug me and the others, I can tell already.

Toyah... Last time I saw her on TV regularly was when she was presenting a show on VH1, and she was pretty boring really. Saw her speaking about her pop career on another show the other day... She seems full of self importance. Could be wrong.

Tuffers is great... Only just realised he's from Sutton... Same as me. He's got to get my vote now.

Wayne is already living up to my expectations! Phil Tufnell seems a real laugh, already hoping he will win, he's a natural, surely must have a career in tv ahead of him, but will have to tame the language a bit!

How rough does Toyah look without makeup / flattering lighting / rose-tinted memories of more than twenty years ago?

Bob
PS - I'm not a Toyah-basher, her husband Robert Fripp is one of my rock idols (of the fantastic King Crimson, one of the most blatantly influential anti-popular bands of the last 30 years!)

I was shocked! She looks the way I would expect her to after 2 weeks in the rain forest.

Phil is making me laugh and Andy is already going on about logs.............. I can see another Tony Blackburn in the making

Oh you shallow one dimensional person, looks aren't everything, lovely person, spiritual, beautiful inside, take a long look at yourself etc etc etc ...you're right...glad to see you back Bob

Wayne bad - Catalina Bad - Toyah bad
Phil Good

The rest I'll give time...

Phil is the one I prefer at the moment. He seems a genuinely funny guy, and has definitely become alpha male on the sly. Think Daniella is playing a clever game, keeping her profile low for the moment, getting teary about the kids... The ex-corrie guy seems to have the non-offensive guy act down to a fine art.

Not sure about Wayne - he seems to be overplaying the camp card, but maybe that truly is his personality? Sian annoys me, but I can't quite say why she does. Toyah does indeeed look a bit grim...

Catalina seems a bit of a misery. Worral-Thompson is every bit as annoying as I've always found him. Linda's accent annoys me, but she's probably a lovely person. John is... dull as ditchwater, really.

Of course, I'm prepared to radically alter my view of every contestant depending on what happens next

Fashanu. Is he playing a part or what? "Now team" He's getting on my nerves already!

I like Sian. She seems like a laugh.

Phil Tuffnell is a laugh.

I like Wayne (Funny in a camp way)

Daniella and Linda are ok.

Toyah. What the hell happened to that lady? She looks like she's been in that jungle for a month.

Chris Bisson. No impression yet.

Catalina. Glad she's there.

Anthony seems like he is enjoying himself.

I like Anthony. Seems a decent enough guy.

This got off to a great start..... it was highly enjoyable from day one. Linda is a sweetheart..... Fash is utterly gorgeous... I can see friction with Toyah and somebody.... she has that vibe about her... and she herself seems to think that Sian will get on her nerves. Have to agree with the point that she looks as rough as a buffalo's bum without the make up and lighting. Can't hide the sprint of Father Time there. Ouch! Catalina... is the one that leaves me cold at the moment .. cant say I am taking to her at all for some reason.... perhaps the voting public feel the same way as the seem to want to see her fight a croc !!! Not to mention the fact that she seemed very put out at having to give up her knickers - flip that.... I'd rather a good meal any day of the week. Wayne Sleep seems to be one of those people who is great craic for a day or so..... but I can see him irritating the arse off people before long...... I actually see Chris Bisson.. as the quiet one in the background at the moment who could do very very well indeed. Remains to be seen.

Phil is coming through as my favourite already although I saw him once on Soccer AM and liked him then

Fash. Felt really sorry for him cos I got cooty just watching those insects.

Catalina. Sorry but who is she? Up until now I have never heard of or seen her in my life. How exactly is she a celebrity?

I think John is a bit shady. He came back from the trial and 'forgot' to mention that he got 7 meals. Maybe he thought he didn't do too well and so had to exaggerate the trial a bit, I think everyone still thinks the creatures were put down his literal underwear rather than plastic ones. I mean you don't come back from a football match and recall the whole match then say the score, you say the score first then say what the goals were like unless you're deliberately keeping people in suspense or winding someone up.
He also shouted all over the camp that there was an animal (a few times) then says to Catalina that he didn't want to frighten any of the others?
Defintely trying to play the alpha male.

I also don't really like Toyah because I never really liked her even before she went on the show and think her bit at the end saying 'none of us can do the trial for her can we?' was , note she put it in the negative i.e. either she knew no-one could do it, in that case why did she ask? or she didn't want to do it herself and was looking for a no answer.

I thought that too. Daniella seems quite quiet at the minute too. Although Nell did the same and didn't come in the top 3.

Genuine Mesostim photo for sale, going to the highest bidder tonight about an hour remaining - do I hear 50p? Honestly, a real photo of Mesostim, honest to god. With a baseball cap and a pint. I know not what of. I even have teddy bear shots (long-time alumni will know what I mean).

Coming back to this forum and this show feels rather like being an alcoholic saying to himself "Just one more litre of Famous Grouse couldn't hurt..."

Bob
PS - Mesostim, have I missed the traditional annual picking of "one to despise / one to champion"? if not, I nominate Fash/Sian. The daft ******/angelic goddess. Best leave Toyah alone either way, or the Christian hordes will come get us.

Hmmm - I hadn't considered the hordes..... I'd go for Catalina/Phil so far in the Despise/Champion stakes..but that seems to put me in a comfortable majority and I hate that

I don't like Sian - she seems so false

Phil I've seen interviewed a few times and he is genuinely funny

I actually felt really sorry for Fash and his fear of heights

I think it will be a fine line in the end (love/hate) give it a couple of days and the cigs running out.

Geezer Phil the act could grow boring, but with no Tara character to upset he's unlikely to become a bad guy too soon...Catalina the Wicked Witch of the Jungle is a sure fire bet for unpopularity....unless she does something to endeer herself to us all...like let the whole camp starve so she can have eyeliner.

It's the ones that go unnoticed this first week, that will be hated by the second week, and called "manipulative" or "sneaky".
