Its meaning 'belonging to it' has no apostrophe. It is a possessive pronoun like his.

"It's" means it is, yes, and i don't like it when people put "its" instead of "it's", really bugs me

I believe the verb 'to loose' means something like to shoot an arrow, but I'm probably wrong. One second.

yeah, it means to let something loose, particularly in the sense of an arrow or a bullet...quite ambiguous.
