Well on the Why I hired them program he said at the end there is room for both of them in my company.
This may indicate he would hire both of them or it may just be to show how he rates both of them

Really Kristina has to win, Simon shouldn't even be in the final, he took Katies place. He is inept

Well, for Simon to get this far on nothing but dipstickness.. it is clear that Sir Alan doesn't care about his lack of ability but rather wants to get in with Simon's more succesful Father and Grandfather..

Maybe he gives Simon a token job to make connections with his family..

And he gives the real job to Kristina who at least has some ability.

If you think that Alan Sugar needs to do that with Simon's decidedly mediocre family then you have a lot to learn. He has no reason whatsoever to ingratiate himself with Simon's family for business purposes. However, he might feel akin with them given Simon's background. Sugar is very much like Simon's grandfather who made his way from very humble origins.

How to put it politely?? Amstrad is no Microsoft.
Sugar was succesful in the 80's but seems to be flondering now, and is no longer on top of the game.
Amstrad's turnover is only £100 mil ... So making contacts with someone with a £50 mil fortune.. isn't such a ridiculous move..

I can't imagine any other reason why anybody would choose Simon... I doubt that Sir Alan would pick Simon just because he admires his Grandad, unless there were other reasons.
Simon of course is very different to his Grandad, and was born into a very privledged background. And as done absolutley nothing with the advantages in life that he had.. He has just become some kind of subpar Rigbsy..Not very impressive.
It is like a Victorian novel.. Grandpa.. from the working class makes lots of money.. Father builds on that empire.. Son is useless, f eckless (I have no idea why that word is censored!), party animal..

Perhaps Sir Alan should hire Simon's Grandad.. But maybe he is too old, and too succesful to be an apprentice

If the show itself is to have any credibility then surely regardless of family Simon cannot win.He has been entirely useless and bumbled and bungled his way along.Tim nice but Dim really.
