Boys & Girls? Girls & Boys?
EVERYBODY is going on about this new track from Good Charlotte which is supposedly gonna be THE Hit of the summer!
I have never even heard it!! Is there really a need to make such a big fuss about it???? |

I think it's awesome myself, although not quite as good as Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous. It's called Girls And Boys by the way, the same as the Prince song from the 80s and more recently Blur's from '94.
It has some great lines in it, not least "Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money"... so true ![]() Would hardly say it is going to be THE hit of the Summer - bit too crunchy, I think - but I hope it's going to be quite big. |

Has a real nice Eighties electropop riff in the verse, and then rocks out for the chorus. It's a much more balanced song that Lifestyles and it'll be a big hit on the Kerrang/XFM axis i'm sure. I dig it.

Good Charlotte have to be my fave 'new' band - their album is fantastic... Their best song from the "Young and the Hopeless" album would have to be Movin' On - totally uplifting chorus and definetly one to be played LOUD!!

I think i dig the title track the most. Rock out to that on the way home tonight.
BTW, if you've not already checked them out, A Simple Plan and Bowling For Soup are much the same sort of bouncy summer fratboy rock. Check out BFS's "Surfin' Colorado" for a taster. |

Yeah, and the end of the song has a refrain that's blatantly ripped off of Madonna's "Material Girl". And they also use the word "and", which has appeared in MANY songs in the past.

Just listen to radio1 they seem to be playing it alot recently. Also you would have to put up with all the other crap that they play on there til it comes on.
