I love NOFX, because they make music for the love of it and for the fans.

Oh, except that Stickin' In My Eye, Leave It Alone and Bob are ALL playlisted on music tv at the moment, and that they are signed to frickin' EPITAPH, who are about as major as labels get given that they are owned by Sony and have the fourth-largest turnover of any Sony subsidiary.

But they're different from Avril Lavigne and Busted, honest.

*sighs*

NOFX: - Great choice! Anything on the Fat label are great! The NOFX vids are only on p-rock tv (channel 461 on sky) which is a free channel on sky! Plus there are other great vids on there from the ataris, no use for a name, strung out etc!

But the nofx vid for 'I wanna be an Alacholic' is so origional and great! A four man pit in a lift!!!! Quality.

Long live the Fat one!

Did you even READ past the first sentence? NOFX have signed to the majors, produced mass-market videos, and take home PHAT CASH for their efforts. By a traditional punk definition, they (alongside The Ataris, NUFN, Strung Out et al) have SOLD OUT.

Not that it bothers me, because the music rules, just like Britney or Busted or whoever. But it all kind of undermines your entire reason for living, no?

Rawns, for someone so opinionated about a great deal of things you're sure not going to any lengths to defend your position - a position which I have comprehensively ripped to shreds on TWO threads.

I'm not just being aggressive - i would be interested in your comeback - maybe i'm totally off base but unless you're just completely at a loss for words and have NO comeback other than to bury the complete deconstruction of your music belief system in the sand, then you've got to go to bat, bro.

Bring it, punk boy!
