Loreal Girl accents
First we got Scralett Johnson playing Vicki Fowler in 'Eastenders', now Georgina Walker (ex Jane Harper, 'Night & Day') joins 'Crossroads' as Rio.
The connection ? - English girls putting on American accents, sounding very like they should be doing shampoo ads. I'm waiting til one of em says 'Cause I'm worth it !' |

The stupid thing about Vicki is that she moved to America when she was 9, it's highly unlikely she would really develop an american accent by that point, especially as she would have been living with her english mother.

It's all about fitting in; when you are at school it makes a difference. |

Her accent is shite...Michelle went to live in Alabama in the deep south and the girl who plays Vicki has affected an accent that falls somewhere being North London, Irish, Canadian and Bostonian...either way, it sounds daft and the sooner they let her drop it (or drop her!) the better! ;o) |

You should know that a childs biggest influence ( esp in language ) is its peers not it parents ( esp at that age)some friends of ours moved to america, children speaking with local accent within the year |
