Excellent deal from o2
I am an existing customer with o2 and have just accepted to go on a sim only plan with them.
I have been offered 3000 minutes and 3000 texts for £35 a month! Just goes to show a bit of bartering when your contract is nearing the end goes a long way! They did say that this is only for existing customers not new connections, but I'm happy! Anyone else on this?

Serious question, why would you need SO many minutes and texts a month?

Did you get a phone with that aswell or not?
My mate last week got an LG Prada, unlimited texts (3000 per month fair usage) and 2600 anytime any network mnutes for £30 per month. Was your offer on a 12, 18 month or just one month basis? Sam |

Who talks for 3000 mins a month on the phone?
3000 txts I only send about 3 a month Sounds expensive to me when I can pay £5 a month on vodafone and talk for as much as I like. I can't even talk for an hour on it! |

I don't, but why pay £30 a month for 400 minutes and 1000 texts when I am liable to go over 400 minutes and get a bill around £60, when I know I get a set bill every month of £35? Who cares if I don't use the minutes.

On the subject of good deals from O2, I am on one of their cheaper tarrifs (the one that gives you 600 off peak minutes) and my prepaid year was up and the monthly line rental went up to £15. I phoned up asking for another prepaid year and it was £99.99 minus a £75 rebate for not wanting a new phone. Hmm. Do I want to pay £180 a year or £25? It just shows that you have to phone up every year to keep getting the good deals. No wonder people churn!
