Have the Josephs ever sung "Close Every Door" for the judges?

To answer the original question, yes they all had to sing Close Every Door to the judges. You might remember in the auditions, that all the boys who were left at that point had to sing the song together, and John Barrowman went around listening to them, and tapping the shoulders of the boys who he wanted to go.

I wanted to hear Lee sing it, as it is the only Joseph song I actually like. I think all the other songs are a bit boring. I was so happy that Lee won, he really deserved it.

Having reached the final, surely he deserved it?”

Remember Keith having that recurring dream that he never got to sing the end of close every door? It came true.
When you brought up Keith being the only one who didn't get to sing it it was the first thing I thought about.

I've seen a lot of these reality talent shows (Strictly Come Dancing many times, Strictly Dance Fever, Joseph, American Idol, etc.), and the person who comes second *always* loses out in terms of recognition. As someone said, it's better to finish third or even fourth...because then you get your song during the show plus your week of fame on the entertainment news show circuit. Coming second shouldn't be a bad thing (it's quite an achievement!), but too often on these types of shows it is.

Even though I was desperate for Lee to win (don't want to see my mobile bill when it arrives!) and didn't particularly like Keith (just a personal preference...no reflection on his singing talent), I definitely think that he deserved some kind of recognition for what he had achieved. I think he could have sung "Close Every Door" before Lee sang "Any Dream Will Do." These show producer people are creative...they could have found a way to make it work.

it was so lovely of Keith to do that! I think Lee had lost it BIGTIME and he was really struggling to compose himself. Lee is really vulnerable, and Keith knows that as they have lived together for so long, and always seem to get on very well in all the vt footage. Keith could see that Lee needed lots of huggles and he was an absolute gentleman in defeat - what a fantastic pair of finalists! I thought it was fitting that the final 2 should both be lads who had never been saved by ALW - ensuring that the winner could definitely be 'our' Joseph.

I definitely agree that Keith deserved his slot to speak and to thank his friends / fans / etc - he was the only lad who didn't get that chance, which was harsh. They should have planned for a longer results show, because after all, that's what we've been leading up to all along.

BTW correct result - Lee is a legend - Keith will be fine!

I understand what everyone is saying about Keith not having air time and he should have had, but given the choice of time or coming 2nd then I'm sure he's rather have come 2nd. (Though it shouldnt have had to be a choice). When I saw the tv listing I was v surprised that they had only (less than) 25 minutes for the 2nd show. It was never going to be enough.

As for singing the song they must each have practiced it every single week with Zoe or whoever the vocal coaches are.
