I thought he looked happy, and rightly so.

I thought he looked happy. I am sure he would have looked happy whoever won - I mean it would have been a bit of a shot in the foot for his show if he implied the winner wasnt as good as the other finalists. BTW Lee was a deserved winner and will be great in the part.

Of course he was happy. He probably spent the break furiously voting for Lee on his mobile!

Didn't see the Final, having been out at a Fortieth Birthday theatre do (very damp Agatha Christie production) so missed it all.

As for ALW looking 'unhappy' what gave you that impression, Helena? Of course, well he might, having ditched Daniel Boys and thus lost the perfect Joseph.
Still, no hard feelings, Lee. Daniel'll bounce back, just all you doubters wait!!

The very first shot of his face, after the result was announced. His expression seemed rather deadpan - not exactly delighted. Later, when they were all singing along to 'ADWD' he was smiling and looked happy.

Given that the entire programme was quite clearly fixed so that he could get the winner he wanted, of course he was happy. he knew what the outcome would be.

How were Keith and Lewis, poor lads? Hope they were treated gently?

of course it was - how sad people always feel the need to shout fix if their fav doesn't win!

I do wonder about the 'fix' thing in all this. Seems a bloody odd way to go about getting youe predetermined choice, except of course when one bears in mind the HUGE publicity it must all generate!! Not that I'm cynical...but the excision of Daniel Boys and Craig Chalmers after their respective splendid sing-offs does make one highly suspicious!!

I really don't get why everyone thinks why Lee was the 'favourite' whenever he made even a small mistake he would get slated by the judges when some of the other guys got away with it, even tonight! All this 'fix' stuff is total crap, IMO ALW wanted Lewis to win.

Lewis looked fine, was sat with the other Josephs - and looked geuinely cheery. Didn't see much of Keith, but I would have been peeved at missing out on the chance to sing "Close Every Door". Second place never got a final song, how mean

people often say its a "fix" when in fact all it is is that alot of people simply wanted the most talented person to win. hense why lee won!

If that was the case, we'd all be congratulating Lewis...... ALW really pulled out all the stops for him - even to giving him 2 great songs tonight.

How sad that you are naive enough to think that phone votes do anything except part people from their money....
