Please help if you can.

I'm staying in a hotel with a Philips TV (the sort for pay movies / hotel menus / internet etc ) and I'm trying to access the av Scart channel. Usaully this is on channel zero - but this appears to have been blocked. There is no other AV selection on the remote.

Does anyone have any ideas as to a setup code on the remote or a trick to get the channel unblocked?

Thanks for any help.

Presumably if it's blocked?, it's done for a VERY good reason - presumably because you have to pay for what you're wanting to watch?

No - just trying to connect my own DVD player as opposed to watching the dross on the TV.

And Kojack - thanks for your input...........

You don't 'need' to use your PS3!

Are you on holiday? Why play games?

But at least he, like myself, know how to do it!

And I agree with his point of view!.

Kicked up a fuss with management and they provided an additional TV to use.

As unfortunately the small minded "help" on this particular section of the forum is non-existent and is unfortunately full of too many people with nothing better to do than provide sarcasm - as I'm sure you have realised.

We're not here to help you break the protection on the hotel TV's, it's there for a good reason - to stop people like yourself messing them up!. It's also VERY likely that the hotel staff don't know how to do it either - because you don't want THEM messing it up either!.
