Help! Is my phone broken?

Yesterday , my Sony Ericsson W810i had a heavy object fall onto it. I can receive calls and it works because I have a mental picture of where everything is but the colour screen doesn't show up. The screen is blank and I can see a crack in the inner screen although the outer screen isn't cracked. The phone is working but no picture is showing up and the inner screen is cracked. Do I need to buy a new phone?

You can have a new screen fitted. You can buy them on eBay, and fit them yourself if you know what you're doing. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/U-LCD-Screen-D...QQcmdZViewItem

Or, you can take it to an independent phone shop and ask them to replace the screen for you, you're looking at about £50.

a replacement lcd will probably be all that it required.

No, because it's not their fault.

If you have accident cover and your phone is over 50 pounds,I would claim it on house contents insurance.

As far as I know, mobile phones, laptops and other portable devices are not covered on house insurance unless you take out extra cover for such portable units.

Depends on the policy.
