Are there any American surfers here who can give us more details on what the trials were on the american show?
American Trials
should have posted this later in the day when the americans get into work.. Someone posted yesterday that the trials they did on the american show seem to be the trials they are doing on the UK show, just wondered if anyone could give us any spoilers on what was coming up.
I live in the USA and watched the show over here.
Here are some of the trials:
Climbing a ladder and putting your hand in various nasty creepy crawly tanks
sitting in a huge tank of leeches
putting your face in a tank of some nasty looking insects to get plastic stars out of
getting snakes out of a tank, running up a hill and down again with the snake in your arms and then placing it into another tank.
getting huge eels out of one water tank and then placing them into another.
sitting out in the dark for so many hours with no flashlight or anything
walking along a slippery bridge kind of thing and having to reach and or jump for stars. You keep falling into a nasty muddy looking lake thing which has all kinds of insects and leeches in it.
running up a waterfall kind of assault course and picking the plastic stars.
There were a couple of others but i cannot remember them very well.
Anything that consisted of sitting with bugs, etc was nasty.
Downtown Julie Brown had to sit in the tank with the leeches.
They had to peel the things off of her.

Yes, although I recognise some of these from the first series.

Could this be "the bridge of doom" Fash will get?
Did one contestant keep getting chosen by the public to do trials, like has happened with Fash?
If so did the producers do anything to even things up so someone new gets chosen instead?

Alana Stewart got voted for a lot of the trials but i would say that no one person was singled out.
Robin Leech got voted off first and he never did a trial.
I think the second to go was Alana Stewart (she just angered everyone with her constant whining).
I think Robin Leech was voted off purely because he was the cook of the group and i think people wanted to see how the others would do with him gone!
I wanted Chris Judd to win from the beginning and he did.
Was just a nice person who did great in his trials and everyone liked him. Also helped with the sympathy vote that he was the ex husband of Jennifer Lopez!

Yes, that one was nasty as the things had to be peeled off of her.

How many leeches were on the person? We also had the buried alive on in the first uk seris! Rhona , who got voted by the public to do it , was convinced something was on her and screamed "I'm a celeb get me out of here!". It was quite funny , but being claustrophobic myself I sure am glad I wasn't in her position! 
They were all over her back, arms and legs.
There were a lot of them.
some of them were huge.
also, the ex-athlete Bruce Jenner foundma leech on his leg.
When they got it off of him and then smashed it with something, the blood just spilled out. This thing certainly had a good time sucking on his blood.
It was gross!
