I've looked on the website to see if there was a link but couldn't find one.

you can find a link if you do a search in google news - if it was the story in the people.

Although it didn't specify who got what exactly i thought.

Totally lost interest in the series after that rather poor and bias interview episode so will gladly read who wins it so that I do not have to waste another hour watching Sugar boast about how sucessful and clever he thinks he is.

The Apprentice has totally lost its credibility if the papers are to be believed. Sounds like a cheap trick to get the public to sort of agree with the person he's chosen. Since Series 1 , The Apprentice has become less viewer based show and more "The Alan Sugar" show. He doesn't give a toss about the public which is a bit foolish , seeing how much the show relies on viewers as there's no physical public involvement in the show. Another rubbish decision , he just has his mindset on a winner from Week 8 and he sticks by it. I don't understand why Simon couldn't have been given the job at Viglen and Kristina a job at Amstrad and be The Apprentice. Of course there's been no back alley deals with Simon's father and Alan Sugar , have there? . I'm seriously considering giving up watching the finale now.

Maybe you should put some of the above in spoilers. Not that I believe it, as SirAlan said at the end of the 'Why I fired them' that there can only be one winner.

But Simon is The Apprentice as he got the job at Amstrad. Kristina just got another job , judging by the article.

Again, if you do believe that maybe edit it and put it in spoiler tags? in addition to your original post.

Oh sorry , my mistake . I just thought that people wouldn't look into this thread if they didn't want to find out the winner.

I know, I'm personally not bothered by spoilers but there have been threads by other about the way spoilers slip in when people have been so careful further up the thread. Is it too late to edit?

please put those comments in spoilers - you've spoiled it for me now- if it's true of course. It's not too late to go back & edit your posts.

Looks like it's too late as my posts (except the last) aren't editable any more.

Why would you read a thread entitled "Bah! Sunday paper revealed the winner" if you didn't want to know who won? What were you expecting to read - the weather forecast?

You've spoilt it for yourself, so don't blame the person who wrote the information.

Totally agree.

Why would you need spoiler tags when the thread clearly states it's intentions?

I do agree myself but then you see threads like this and I suppose the spoiler etiquette so far in this thread had been to tag them and keep everyone happy.

Plus
Spoiler

But Hey Ho, it's done now and can't be changed. Still I don't believe it. Something along those lines might happen but I think one will definitely be crowned winner.

Because the thread isn't about who wins, it's about the fact that a newspaper spoiled the result of who wins. So personally, I expected the discussion to be about newspapers spoiling things, and opinions on that, rather than actually who won.

If the title doesn't have 'spoilers', then tags should be used.

But I was making assumptions based on the article as it doesn't give outright facts. I could be correct but I could be wrong. I assumed Simon would be The Apprentice based on the content of the article. No hard facts here

Hmmm The Sun this morning has the chances of each of the candidates. They have Kristina at 8/11 and Simon as Evens.

This is the link.

I wouldn't totally believe it though. It's normal practice for the finalists to both work somewhere during the months between the prelims and the final. Journalistic license, or a very dim journalist, may well be confusing this with the final outcome.
