Chris Tate on the way out !
Good interview with Claire King in Hello this week.... she of Bad Girls fame and of course the ex bitch Kim Tate, also married to chappie who plays Chris Tate. Those of you who are are fans of Chris Tate... will be sorry to hear according to his lady wife, that he is leaving Emmerdale later on this year.... seems like he has been with that show forever.... will be interesting to see how they get rid of him.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They can't get rid of him, he was just starting to be nice. With the storyline he will be involved in coming up, it's gonna be interested to see if it's gonna happen or not (not saying anything in case ya'll don't know, and I don't wanna spoil it). I think they will have to kill him off, cu's he can't exactly go on a business trip for eternity. My theory: he will have a brain tumor and die within a few weeks, and his will will state that Zoe inherites the lot, but Charity can stay in the house. Maybe, if he has a brain tumor they could all go on a little holiday to Amsterdam, and make a story out of that, what with all the press that have been covering recent Amsterdam stories it could spark off the right to (you know what I mean, but I can't spell it) been made legal over here!!!! PS.
Both chris and Eric are really nice guys in RL. I met Chris Chitell/Chettel/Chittle (Eric) a few years back when I lived in Yorkshire and he did a sponsored walk with my local pub to raise money for Macmillon. He walked the 3 miles handcuffed to a police woman, and I walked with him almost all the way, then I started speeding up the last 15 minutes of the walk as I was always the first back, and I didn't wanna not be the first back in my 3 years of doing the walk ![]() SF |

My thoughts exactly! i never used to like him, but he's been acting, well, differently, lately!Maybe he just got sick of Emmerdale and wants to try something new?? |

I think it'll have something to do with finding out that Cain is the father of Charitys daughter, but I maybe wrong.

OK Drifter.
But I think most people will already know it by know. *SPOILER ALERT* . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Chris decides that he wants to adopt Debbie, but of course with the father (Cain) still living they will of course need Cain's permission. Anyways it all comes out that Cain is the father. And it seems that Cain was left heart-broken by Charity all those years ago, when she dissapeared and left Cain (to have baby Debbie). Charity's father told Cain that Charity had left to be with someone else. Which is why Cain is now so dysfunctional, and why he has so much hatred inside him, cus he got his heart broke, by the one person he loved, Charity. |

Ah yes, I knew that, but I thought you meant a story a few months down the line that might collide with him leaving. Otherwise, I think this story will probably have blown over more or less by the time Chris leaves, as actors normally leave at least 5 months after actually announcing it.
Anyway, it'll be sad to see him go. He played the part really well of a hard-faced, rich and generally mean bloke (with a softer side ), it was a great character to have in Emmerdale. It's a shame because the Tate's have been there for years now keeping the whole rich element going on to contrast the likes of the Dingles. I really don't want him to go actually! Now we''ll just have Zoe...which I'm not complaining about because SHE'S great, too. |

The "regaining use of his legs" storyline would be good, but unlikely, and as for going off somewhere, surely he would not leave alone???
How about he hears from Kim Tate, and goes off in pursuit of her??? |

It's not such a stupid idea because had you been in a wheel chair for a number of years and suddenly could walk - wouldn't you walk straight out of Emmerdale??

That is totally ignorant and discriminating. Just because he is in a wheel chair does not mean he can't travel. If my memory serves me correctly, Chris Tate is a well travelled man, probably the most travelled person there is in Emmerdale. Im sticking with my originally theory that he dies. I can't see him leaving Charity. And if he does die I wonder what will happen to Joseph?? SF |
