oooooh, the house looks fab! Can't wait!!!!! I read that there was going to be 14 housemates, with 10 going in and the remaining 4 going to an attic? Is this wrong then?

House looks wicked, gotta be the best design yet.

I wonder what bigbrother has got in store for the housemates this year. First it was a new house mate 2 be voted in after a week then it was the rich/poor house and now? I duno. Anyone any ideas? Theres gotta be something.

Iain.

Certainly there's been nothing (official) mentioned about it.. but then again we never heard anything concerete about the rich/poor divide and the extra eviction until they actually happened. That said they have gone out of their way to state there will be no gimmicks this year, so who knows...

Ok, so we're going to have 12 housemates for 9 weeks, which means there will probably be an eviction in the first week. Now, do you reckon they'll do what they did last year, or do you think they'll make the housemates nominate as normal after only knowing each other for 3 days?

While I think the rich /poor side thing went on for too long and I'm sure didn't quite work how the producers imagend, I was hoping that there woud be some gimmicks (or at least one). However i realise a lot of fans like thir BB "pure".

Still, nice set (apart from the glow in the dark green seats)

It all looks and sounds promising to me.
As a bit of a purist myself, I would hope that there aren't many gimmicks.
The divide last year was a good idea for a week but dragged on far too long and being on the rich/poor side became the be all and end all. The return of the weekly task should be far better than the Saturday night task / lucky dip that many of us were unhappy with last time.
Here's to the end of May.

I rather think that was the point

Totally agree, but I do hope that BB does have a few surprises, both for us & the hms

It has begun... Great news!!!

Talking gimmics, I've been watching the Ozzy BB3 and they've gone with two houses!

I do think the UKBB "Back to it's roots" announcement could be mis-direction for us and the potential housemates. But I'm happy it's on it's way.

Looking forward to some late night banter with you guys and girls... can't wait!!!

I'm glad they've set this no gimmik stance, I don't know how everyone else who has watched all the Big Brother series 9like me) thinks, but I much preffered series 1&2 to 3. I think this was mainly due to the abolition of the weekly task (not really anything to watch on the lives feeds), the contestants being quite loud and the rich/poor divide, all of these are gone and so I think this series will be on par with series 1&2. I agree that by them saying no gimmicks makes it sound a bit boring so hopefully they'll have some decent surprises in store at least.
However I can't help but feeling Big Brother's bluffing...

I think that there may well be a few surprises in store (just like last year) ..... clearly we are being teased at present. At the end of the day C4 want to repeat the huge success of BB3. They know what it takes to get viewers tuning in. However, I guess, there is a slim possibility that they have caved in to BB's critics.

Well, there will be plenty here
I hope they ram the house full of imaginative gimmicks that plague the housemates every wannabe waking minute

I'm hoping there's one person who is the most miserable cynical git on the planet and spends the entire time slagging the others off to himself, and in the diary room, and unlike Sandy actually has a bit of wit when he does it. Or she.

I'm also hoping all 6 women are hot. Us guys have never had anything particularly stunning to look at on this show.
