I have to admit to being a bit of a purist myself...all the gimmicks can be a bit irritating as time goes by...the divide last year worked well for a couple of weeks but then just spoilt what might have been more interesting/less confrontational interactions between the housemates....I think the weekly task will help to aleviate the boredom that the group suffered from last year...giving them something to work on through the week seemed to work better than the Saturday night task....

However it works out, I'm looking forward to it...especially since i now have 'sky' so get to see the daytime stuff...shall be popping in here still, how else do we get to find out who's irritating to who!!

It all looks and sounds promising to me.
As a bit of a purist myself, I would hope that there aren't many gimmicks.
The divide last year was a good idea for a week but dragged on far too long and being on the rich/poor side became the be all and end all. The return of the weekly task should be far better than the Saturday night task / lucky dip that many of us were unhappy with last time.
Here's to the end of May.

No, but your enthusiasm makes me worry that you're finding joy in the wrong places.

While I think the rich /poor side thing went on for too long and I'm sure didn't quite work how the producers imagend, I was hoping that there woud be some gimmicks (or at least one). However i realise a lot of fans like thir BB "pure".

Oh how you'll be regretting it

no regrets, no apologies.

now I'm off to find something lala said two weeks ago....

too be honest I've still been of the opinion that there should be something more substantial than just the vanilla nominate/task/eviction. The Saturday night challenges have been as dull as dishwater to watch (IMHO), I want something meaner!!!

On Friday we got sort of excited when we thought there was going to be a twist to the challenge, because we thought there was going to be something unexpected to "throw" the HM.

I'm not saying each week BB should stick the knife in, so perhaps I shouldn't be criticising right now, but I am still hoping for something big (mean and nasty). Something like a partition where one side are on "heaven" side and another on the "hell" side ........ actually scrub that rather bad example, in fact scrub this whole post!! I know nothing!!!!

Did i just imagine Davina saying something about "The new housemate" after Justine's interview on Friday?????

Youre the third person to say this. I recorded the show, but despite going over it, I dont think Davina said anything like that.

Im not so sure a new HM in itself would be a good idea, in previous BB, the "NEW" HM never really fitted in (they were always seen as the outsider). However I would welcome something of this magnitude with a hint of meaness

Better than starting a new one...

There really should be a 'cackle' emoticon.

Really???

Well, thank God! Thought i was going mad! It was right at the end of the 10.00 show, where Davina took Justine back to the crowd, and Davina was plugging the Saturday night show!

Maybe BB just changed their minds at the last minute?

I have heard of this a few times now on DS.
Although i did not hear the remark myself, if she did say it i can maybe offer explanation why some may have heard it and others didn't.
Last year i Noticed that the Sky feed was often longer/shorter at the end of the programmes than the feed that used Grampian TV transmitters that C4 use here because of the localised advertisments and their was actually a fair time delay between the two as well in the region of about 30 seconds.
like i said i did not hear Davinas comments and it is puzziling that some hear one thing and others don't

Davina did mention a new house mate at the very end of Justine's eviction prog, it was half drowned out by the crowd. She did the same thing last week at the end of Anu's eviction by mentioning that the housemates would find something right under their noses, ie the secret room.
