Okay... I feel like I am constantly putting negative comments on here (something to do with my extreme dislike of Danniella Whatserface I think!).

So....

How about a POSITIVE thread.

What is good about IACGMOOH!? Let the goodwill flood out.

I'll start....

Linda Barker does seem like a lovely person.

As AWT said: "she's a cracker".

I like her almost as much as Toyah

Yeah, and then he mentions that he's friends with Peter Stringfellow... Oh dear.

I still like him though.

There seems to be more energy than the last bunch. Generally, they all seem to get on! The bickering that started early on last year put a dampener on everyone's spirits, but this year everyone seems to be pretty jovial. They seem to have bonded well and are in good spirits!

yes..watching the itv2 coverage they are all getting on quite well.
In any situation like that, where you get 10 people together, you are bound to get the odd spat now and then, but generally they all are getting on as well as could be expected in that situation. I dont dislike any of them to be honest.

That part about Peter Stringfellow was a bit disturbing however, AWT could stick his spoon in my pan any day. I have seriously found AWT very attractive over the past few years. I suspect I may possibly be in the minority with this opinion......

Linda Barker is genuinely coming across as very nice. I hope she is in with a chance of winning this too.

I saw Linda on her Carol Smilie/Changing Rooms programme & didn't recognise her with hair groomed & make-up but as soon as she spoke, she came over as being very natural, warm, straight-spoken & funny. I would imagine she was an interior decorator before she got caught up in TV & from her comment about Stringfellows, I don't expect she goes in for a celeb life style.

They are a lot more intelligent and socially adept than the last lot however that doesn't seem to be what the public want, ratings are dropping steadily.

I could tell by the drop in the amount of posts in here compared to last year but the DS front page confirms it - the programme's lost 2 million viewers.

People don't want to see them getting on - they want the Rhona/Nigel Darren/Tara kind of fireworks otherwise it's a complete flop.

Antony cooking, Fash exercising, Wayne dancing, Linda matt-making isn't interesting television.

What you say is very true Faequeen...the drop in posting here has been noticed, this time last season the posts were flying in...this time the spark just isn't there. We aren't even fighting with each other....what wrong with us
Sadly people getting on just isn't the draw people want.....

Thats one of the things that does confuse me about these shows. Some want fighting and strife, yet castigate the very people providing the entertainment they want.
Maybe I'm missing the point.....

Ah well.....We enjoy the show because there are fights yet retain our favorites in order to be able to side with someone....In a nice enviroment there are no sides to take and we all end mired in neutrality......Besides I think I am quite open about backing some people because they are trouble causes....and equally open about disliking certain other ones...and you know who I'm talking about...

I believe the team to be operating under extremely arduous conditions very well.
If you consider these celebs have never lived in a jungle before and the environment is very humid and hot, it is no wonder that tempers will fly occossaionaly.

Also the doctor in the house clearly has no idea on the needs of Europeans' hydration needs, because the symptoms are all too clear.

Constipation seems the main topic of conversation and should be addressed simply by increasing water intake by tenfold.

I say get rid of the doctor and the others monitoring these brave people and let the celebs take over the show.

It reminds me of a rather polite, very contrived family get together    ... and NO, you have to come and no one's allowed to leave early!!!

My comments wernt really about you meso, I dont think you ever stoop to downright abuse, which is what Im talking about.
I suppose in the end, I'll make commenst that I'd make to their faces. thats the only yardstick I use. I think if someone says something they arent prepared to say face to face, then they are just as 'bad' as the people they are critisising.
Yes..I DO believe that you would say the same things to Jade (for eg) face to face. Although I reckon that you might soften your opinion after you'd talked to her......or maybe not

Anyway....I think im veering off topic.
Positive comments.

Danniella. I thought she did her trial great. NO moaning or hysterics, she just got on with it without a murmur. I dont think Id could have let a bucketfull of maggots fall on me without letting out at least a stifled yelp!.

Spot on there Metafis.....Never has a task been performed with such good grace and lack of complaint.....Let us remember TPT's heroic efforts when the whole country changed their opinion of her over night because she got some worms on her arse (shrieking and howling and unable to pull the vines herself and hanging out of the tank) She got all the meals for that.....Daniniella's task was much much harder.....

I agree, Danniella was very brave. She said she was a tough cookie and she certainly proved that. Who would have thought that she and Wayne would be the ones to show such fortitude and lack of hysteria when it mattered? It seems unfair that they didn't win many stars after such courageous performances.

Phil Tufnell is a gem. I wouldn't want to be married to the guy, but he does make me laugh.
The Katate lesson John gave Phil last night made me laugh out load.
Phil was taking the P***, when John finished the lesson, Phil said "great, thanks mate" Then made a swing at John as if to hit him with a bar/stick. John didn't see it coming, In one move, Phil made John's lesson look a farce.
