I wonder how many people are watching the LIVE transmission on ITV2? I switch over now and again during the day and also watch a big chunk before bedtime.

This morning Antony, Fash (light on but no-one home), Daniella and Wayne were having a very interesting conversation about the past.

Antony was talking about being 'in service' and the old class system. (Yesterday he was musing about how he ran away from home at the age of 4 - with a tramp and his dog).
Daniella was enthusing about her fascination with mediums and psychics and Wayne was was talking about the great depression of 1912. Seemingly his great-grandfather walked from Plymouth to Manchester in order to get work, then sent for his family who travelled north by horse and cart. His grandmother worked in the cotton mills from the age of 12.

Anyone else overhear any other titbits?

Thanks, faequeen. This is where I miss out, not having ITV2. I would find this sort of thing much more interesting than the bush-tucker trials. I'm really not interested in watching someone - even someone I dislike - dealing with disgusting beasties or scary high rope bridges. I usually don't/can't watch those bits anyway. It's getting to know the characters and watching the interpersonal relationships develop that fascinates me. ITV1 are not likely to broacast too many of these interesting conversations, though, so I would appreciate it if anyone can be bothered to report some of them here.

I agree lulu. It doesn't happen that often but it's fascinating when it does.

Yesterday Cat was telling Sian about her father leaving home when she was seven and this is the reason why she distrusts men. She had no contact with him until a couple of years ago but they aren't close. When you scratch the surface it's easy to see why people react the way they do.

Of course in another thread today she was being maligned for her revelation as an attention seeker whilst I can only feel empathy towards people who reveal themselves.

Dani and Cat have got the message that the production people are hoping for some friction between them so they're playing them at their own game.
I heard Dani say that Cat held a piece of fruit between her teeth while she took it off her with her teeth, looking like they were snogging each other.

Eh, she took a piece of fruit out of Cat's teeth with her own teeth. What did she have a whoe banana sticking out of it or what?

I think a banana might have been a different conversation.

This really was a snatch of a conversation because they went to a break just as I got interested. Wozzer told Toyah that when he was 18 he spent four weeks in a Moroccan prison, wrongful arrest apparently. He never told his parents. Oh and it ruined his holiday......

Although he seems so genuine I'm beginning to doubt the veracity of his tales, they seem so unbelievable and bizarre.

I've actually heard him say this before on a chat show, but don't know anymore details at the moment.

I think all his stories are true through.

I agree, he also makes no attempt to embellish the story like some others.

Well truth can be stranger than fiction!
I agree, his stories could possibly sound far-fetched coming from someone else, but he seems to have led an extremely interesting life, so coming from him they seem totally believable.
