Will Series 4 be a flop?
Seeing as this series has been a big success and the characters/tasks were great, do you think that next year will turn out to be a huge disappointment. This always happens on a drama, reality tv show or any other series. A new series always seems to be a huge disappointment from a very good series. Like, Desperate Housewives 2 was a flop, so was Lost or BB4.

this year was rubbish. the only entertaining thing about this serious is seeing how useless the candidates are and katie's nasty comments.
they were all so poor. not impressed by any of them. |

The Apprentice seems to have been pretty consistent over the three series with the same or similiar tasks each year (the haggling, the shopping channel, the interviews in the penultimate week) so as long as they follow the rule that "if it ain't broke don't fix it" the show should keep it's popularity. |

I don't think it' the format which is wrong it's the calibre of the contestants. If the contestants are better than last year then unfortunately the editing hasn't done them justice. I genuinely couldn't give a monkey's cuss who wins tonight and have felt like that all the way through this series.

I was disappointed this year that they hadn't learned from past mistakes. They need better and different tasks, and they probably need to spend more money on them. They should take a look at some of the original tasks in the US series.
The rewards were especially lame but I don't mind that. I think they've lost a lot of credibility by offering a poor job at the end of it. But that's something they need to improve tonight, not next year. The candidates are fine: the problem is the editing focusses on their mistakes because they are more entertaining, and so we don't get to see their good points. For example, they showed Ghazal freezing in the doggy presentation, but didn't show how Gerri saved the day and won the biggest contract of the task. Showing more of the positive side would also strengthen the business message. Currently it is a bit too big-brother. I am ambivalent about Sir Alan. It's a strength of the show that he picks who he wants without regard to concrete metrics, but it's also a weakness. At the end of the series I always feel a bit disillusioned, eg with him preferring Simon. I think after three series I've seen enough of him, although I don't know who would be better. |

If SAS continues to make stupid decisions, then yes.

It's the inconsistency of the boardroom that annoys me. The Apprentice has to fit a certain mould and you can spot likely winners very early on despite their performance.
I also wish we could move away from the boy/girl teams. Mix them up at random for every task. |

I don't get the obsession with who actually wins the thing, it's here to entertain us. It was a good show, not as good as previous shows, but so be it, still the best thing on telly.

THE IRON FIST, that's the whole point , it's there to entertain and provide a brilliant climax which hasn't been given since Tim's well deserved win.
