O2 payg (£10/month)
With the online O2 PAYG tarriff it says you have to top it up by £10 every month.
Can someone tell me what happens if you do not top it up? I dont want to top it up but I'll only need it for incoming text messages ( i wont need to call or text out from the phone ever) Thanks in advance Matt |

after 3 months (I believe) they cut you off totally - the contract is to pay a minimum of £10 a month

If you don't make or recive a call every 180 days you *could* get cut off.
If you don't top up though, you just lose your allowance of texts/wap until you top up again. |

I used O2 PAYG as a back up phone. I had £30 credit on the phone but hadn't topped up for 3 months and was disconnected. They say they won't refund the £30 credit. I was on the Genie tariff (which became O2) and I am sure that it said something about if you didn't top up you'd still be connected, you'd just lose the free text and wap allowance. Perhaps I am wrong.

I can confirm that without registering the sim card you can recieve calls and receive texts - which is great news for me because I only want incoming texts on the phone.
Thanks for your thought guys Matt |
