There's no reason why Kristina shouldn't now go on to be as successful as The Badger. Good luck to her.

I'm non-plussed really. I "marginally" preferred Simon's Team to Kristina's but, it's not as if either were going to become destitute after the series. Remember he can afford to pay for his team to go to Barcelona or New York. Whilst she, has a very good job and a Father who was an MD for Coca Cola!

I am gutted, but I can see why SAS hired Simon in stead of Kristina. IF Simon can be kept in check by SAS and thus fulfilling his potential then SAS will have one hell of an asset with him.

It is a case of comparing apples with pears (a Dutch saying meaning they are both very very good in their own way).

I would have chosen Kristina no doubt, but I can really understand SAS. However I did cry for her a bit especially when her son spoke.

I hate to play the "Fix" card but I don't believe that Simon's win was on ability or potential at all.

Yes, I feel gutted for Kristina too - still Sir Alan is the loser, I am sure Kristina will go on to great things as she show-cased herself fabulously.

I felt sure that any minute Sir Alan was going to offer her a job as well .

Anyway, wishing her all the luck in the future - great contestant - did herself and her family proud.

The final task was to see who would be better in real estate as he knew that's what he wanted his Apprentice for. He had already decided that Simon was his favourite for that role, the final task just confirmed it. If he had wanted someone for a sales related role, he would have picked Kristina. It was unfair as it was a 12 week interview for a job she wasn't really qualified to apply for but I'm sure she will do well for herself as a result of being on the programme as she would be an asset to any organisation.

He should stop harping on about it being a "12 week job interview" when it clearly isn't. If it was then Kristina would have clearly won.

Considering SAS is supposed to be a shrewd businessman, he's picked the weaker candidate 3 years in a row now.

I'm gutted too. The whole thing is a farce. Simon shouldn't have even been in the final.

He has Tre to thank for being in the final in my opinion. Had he been in the boardroom when he brought in Lohit and Jadine he would have either been fired then or later on, because Sir Alan would be very aware of the disasters he'd previously caused.

At the end of the day though, Kristina will be offered a brilliant job no doubt and will be able to 'choose' which career path to go down rather than have a career path chosen for her.

It was quite evident throughout the series that Kristina was the worthier candidate.

Simon is just a little boy. Sure, he's loveable, and sure, he's intelligent, but would you really entrust him to run one of your companies?

I'm so annoyed, because I just think it's come down to age now...because he's young and impressionable, he gets the job. Just like Tim. Just like Michelle. And Kristina, the older, but better candidate, is cast aside. Just like Saira. Just like Ruth.

Simon should've gone during the Ideal World task, anyway... , Sir Alan should have looked at his previous two choices, and gone for the opposite 'type' this year...ie, Kristina.

I think SAS made his decision quite a few weeks back. It came as no shock whatsoever to me and I am really gutted from Kristina. Simon winning the show has hammered home the fact this is reality tv...

... having said that I guess it works that way in the real world too, its not how good you are but, well you know the rest!

Also; I found it highly amusing in 'You're Hired', when the clip of SAS saying 'I'm looking for someone, drop dead shrewd' was played, immediately before the clip of him hiring Simon was played.

At the end of the day, he's not looking for that at ALL. Otherwise, Kristina would be offered the job...Simon? Shrewd? Not at all...

Very true, Imagine if Tre was in it now that would have been a final.

What a ridiculous result. It was bad enough last year when the better candidate lost out to a duffer but this year really takes the biscuit. At least last year you could say that Ruth - although a great saleswoman and good with people - was not a creative person. This year it was obvious that Kristina was consistently better than Simon in almost every area, most the time Simon just seemed like a buffoon.

What a joke!

I was also gutted that Christina didn't win - it just confirms to me that being a t w a t who fits in with modern t w a t t y business culture is more important to companies than intelligence, talent, and backbone.

I think that when Alan Sugar said that Simon would suit his intended project because he would fit in with real estate agents it wasn't meant as a compliment...
