What a ridiculous result. It was bad enough last year when the better candidate lost out to a duffer but this year really takes the biscuit. At least last year you could say that Ruth - although a great saleswoman and good with people - was not a creative person. This year it was obvious that Kristina was consistently better than Simon in almost every area, most the time Simon just seemed like a buffoon.
What a joke! I hope she goes on to be a very successful businesswoman. She should be very proud of herself. |

Gutted too. Kristina was smart and business-like, while Simon hadn't a clue.
I wonder how he'll get on, now that he hasn't got his beloved Tre to help him??? |

The final task was to see who would be better in real estate as he knew that's what he wanted his Apprentice for. He had already decided that Simon was his favourite for that role, the final task just confirmed it. If he had wanted someone for a sales related role, he would have picked Kristina. It was unfair as it was a 12 week interview for a job she wasn't really qualified to apply for but I'm sure she will do well for herself as a result of being on the programme as she would be an asset to any organisation.

Just watched 'You're Hired' on Sky+ as I was really shocked by the result.
Shocked myself even further by ending up in tears. Christina and her family showed such dignity. She'll go on to bigger and better things for sure. Well done! |

Sir Alan always chooses the wrong one. Well, he has this year at least. Kristina was the best. After spending the whole series saying he didn't want someone who needed to learn he decides that yes he does "want to be the headmaster again". I can't work it out??

Also; I found it highly amusing in 'You're Hired', when the clip of SAS saying 'I'm looking for someone, drop dead shrewd' was played, immediately before the clip of him hiring Simon was played.
At the end of the day, he's not looking for that at ALL. Otherwise, Kristina would be offered the job...Simon? Shrewd? Not at all... |

I think we're all missing the point! The guy must be shrewd otherwise he wouldn't have won. Sorry folks but if Kristina is as "shrewd" as we all thought she was why wasn't she crowned the Apprentice. Simon after all isn't stupid. Cambridge, Mensa, a Father and Grandfather who run VERY profitable businesses, with those qualifications and family background the guy must have some nouse!!

Sugar is pathetically gullible when it comes to the underdog. He listens to them mouthing off and practically begging, which is what Simon did, and believes it all. Another crap decision. I wonder if he will last longer than Dewberry. |

I've just watched it and yeah I'm gutted. I felt so sorry for her at the end, seemed as if she really wanted the job and she looked gutted. I've been her supported from very early on in the series, just as I was with Michelle last year. Only this year I get to experience what all the Ruth fans experienced last year.
Would really like to see apprentice you're hired, anyone know if it's repeated at all? |

I'm not gutted because I felt SAS made the right decision for his business. He explained that 'they' were expanding into Real Estate and Simon was the best person to handle the job.
Simon is quite visionary and brilliant and I believe SAS saw that. He saw someone who was young, keen, clever and could be molded. In short, Simon is teachable. I think that Simon is the BEST Apprentice ever. Kristina was good and a hard worker and whose to say that SAS won't find her a job somewhere. |

Surprised but happy. Simon had the X factor as they say. Intelligent/Funny/good communicator and Lovable. SAS wants someone who can charm people and who can hold their own in any intellectual debate. Kristina is a grafter and probably a better manager but SAS isnt employing a manager, he wants an all rounder. Any other year Kristina would have won, but Simon won over Sir Alan with his personality as well as his business sense and I think thats what SAS wanted. Lets just be pleased for him, i think people are thinking too much about the fact Simon is a posh boy and that Kristina has a son and needs it more. It showed on one of the extra shows that Simon wanted to prove himself to his Father and that is a huge pressure to deal with, you dont want to be the only failure in your family. Just cause Kristina had overcome more personal hurdles doesnt mean she should have won. I nearly cried when i saw her son get all welled up tonight too but thats business. I was confused though because didnt SAS take on other people from previous series to work on one of his projects but tonight he said he couldnt. I would be lovely to hear that Kristina got some sort of job with him anyway but i think she will pursue things herself independantly and will be a massive success which no bones about it she deserves. But well done Simon

Gutted here too.
Never liked the way Simon couldn't look folks straight in the eye, his gaze always seemed fixed at neck level. Kristina was streets ahead, but perhaps suffered as a result of last years shambles. |

Completely gutted. What the hell message does that send out to the rest of Britain? Work your ass off to get where you want to be and excel and get shafted because you are too good or be a bumbling fool who rides on the back of other people's talents and get rewarded for it?
![]() One of its strongest messages this year is that the best person doesn't win. Another is that a woman should be humiliated as much as possible on BBC TV while an equivalent man should be praised to the skies and treated as some kind of hero. |

I am not gutted. I knew Kristina wouldn't win and posted to that effect some time ago when I also said that it was lucky for Kristina that he wouldn't hire her.
It was again obvious tonight from the expression on Sugar's face during Simon's presentation that he was going to pick Simon. Kristina came across extremely well tonight. It was a triumph for her, despite her obvious disappointment. Never mind her excellent performance throughout the Apprentice series, tonight she played a blinder, saving her best till last. It was in effect a superb job audition in a half hour programme and business people will be queuing up to hire her, as they were with Ruth. She will do far better for herself than if she had been hired by Sugar. So I am not gutted at all. Lucky escape for Kristina. I am however disgusted by the conduct and ethos of this programme, the BBC and Sugar. |

I'm not gutted, but then I am not a big apprentice fan really...I watched this season but only half heatedly (I don't know why its so popular, and this is from a hardcore rtv fan!!) so I enjoyed Simon winning because I liked him better (she was a right cow, no?) & it was a surprise as I was totally expecting her to win.

Qualifications, privilege, high IQ, and genetics don't always equal talent. I went to a red brick Uni with some very stupid people with very wealthy parents. You might as well say 'Well, it's in the newspaper so it must be true!'. In last week's episode it was made clear that he has under-achieved despite all his advantages in life whereas Christina has achieved despite her disadvantages in life.
Let's see what happens now in the next twelve months. Sugar was warned and I expect in a year's time he will put out statements designed to justify his decision but I will be looking to read between the lines of the PR and looking for other indications that inevitably leak out. Watch that space, I say. |

I was never Kristina's biggest fan or anything but she most certainly deserved to win. Unlike Simon, she was never responsible for a loss and never seriously in the firing line. She won both times as PM, and as SAS said, Simon is not a good leader. He deferred so much to Tre in the last episode, and as for his creativity, it seemed Rory and co were the ones coming up with the big ideas. He may be more suited to wining and dining real estate agents, but Kristina was far more capable in every respect. I think if SAS knows the role he's going to give to the next Apprentice, he should advertise it from the start (like any other job) so that applicants know what he's looking for and that way the best of that type will win rather than pitting sales-orientated business people against the creative types etc.

Im glad he did win, his a nice bloke and he hasn't realy done nout wrong apart from the task where tre was leader. The way i look at it is, he has alot more to give, he might not be better than cristschemer at the minute, but he has more potenial than her.
Im sure some peple are mad he won just because he is posh, as if that should matter |
