It was again obvious tonight from the expression on Sugar's face during Simon's presentation that he was going to pick Simon.
Yet in Kristina's seemed happy enough. |

I though SaS looked embarrassed in Simons presentation.Yet in Kristina's seemed happy enough.
When Kristina was presenting, his face looked flat, closed. It completely lacked the benign glow, the appearance of pleasure and approval. It was written plainly in the face. |

I thought he looked like the Cheshire cat, with a beaming countenance. He looked almost like a man in love contemplating the object of his affections.

I know I'll get flamed by the Tre supporters but I think Simon handled 'the ego has landed' quite subtly. He kept Tre onside almost to the end which is no mean feat (note Tre's face when his ideas are not chosen - sulk-a-bulk time). No doubting Tre's got a sharp brain but I wouldn't like to cross him. Simon deserves credit for maintaining Tre's support - which to be fair got Simon out of many a hole.

Another point that SAS may have looked at is the fun factor. Simon is the Apprentice and will spend a lot of time with SAS. Kristina although a lovely woman is too serious. I believe that SAS made the wrong decisions in 2006/2005. He was not going to make the wrong decision this year and went for the young, teachable, genius candidate. Simon has great potential for the future and this is what SAS was looking for. I loved his promotion of a weekend in Barcelona - he does think on his feet. Simon was the only one (apart from Katie) that could control Tre.

Ths same was said for Tim and Michelle. And they were by no means fun. They had ability which Simon needs to be taught the basics of. |

Simon, although quite good, was in no way better than Kristina and anyone know which of those previous candidates threatened to boycott You're Fired! because of the result? |

I agree Chilli Dragon. The curse of "the strong female" will no doubt strike again in the next series

OK so she needed to work on her presentation skills. She still had the better, more practical building.
Simon proved convincingly that he has not only NO leadership skills (SAS noted this himself) but exceedingly poor judgement in people. Simon's team displayed the worst example of team work I've ever seen, and Simon clearly cannot make any useful decision for himself. SAS had already decided who he wanted. It was a young person. Don't ever underestimate the negativity in business and work environments towards older candidates. Kristina WILL however go on to do great things. Despite the obvious prejudice aginst older people there are a few bright and shrewd employers who realise maturity is a valuable quality which can't be taught. |

I was gobsmacked. The building that Simon's team designed was awful and completely impractical. Kristina's team came up with a far better and more practical concept. Not only that, but Kristina is far shrewder, far more hard working and tougher in a business sense than Simon will ever be.
Regarding the presentations - I thought Sir Alan looked far more impressed with Kristina's than with Simon's. |

I think we are in dangeer of taking this too seriously. (Not good news about Madeleine McCann and mayhem in Gaza). As Boris Becker once said there was no war, nobody got killed all that happened was I lost a Tennis Match.
I thought Kristina was the best person on the show and if it had been a game show with the winner getting £100,000 and then going off to do her own thing I am sure she would have won. Bear in mind that SAS has to live with whatever decision he chooses to make. He is in this case an Employer and he wouldn't be the first person as such to make a decision that with which others disagree. If he has got ot wrong on his own head be it. I worked in the public sector and I saw at least two candidates get promotion even though there were many people who were better at the grade they were in. They were promoted because of what was seen as their potential. It was also interesting to note that Nick thought Simon would be the better choice and Margaret thougtt otherwise. I am not saying I agree with the decision but I can understand it. I'm sure Christina will get a good job. |

Simon is quite visionary and brilliant
Where have we seen any evidence of this?

I'm not gutted at all - I thought Simon was brilliant throughout the 12 weeks - Kristina will do well out of this & I read that SAS has said that if the rules allow he would love to employ her as well

Both of them were weak. I wouldn't employ either of them.

Simon is like your annoying younger brother. Plus he has money, so he doesn't *need* the job.

Sir Alan was obviously looking to have his back passage licked for the next year...
Oh well, nice to see people rooting for a bumbling fool over a genuinely skilled person... Sir Alan has made very poor decisions at the end of the 2006 and 2007 shows. Both winners are from the monied 'Clapham-set'. Maybe next year, anyone hailing from this area should be avoided! |

I found the fact Simon was in the final at all quite baffling. He's pretty inoffensive, bar the dancing and rapping
, and he's probably a nice guy too, but what was it that he actually contributed in any of the tasks? It's possible there's a massive back catalogue of 'Simon being a genius' footage that was mysteriously edited out, I suppose, but the bits we have seen haven't been that great or visionary, he's just looked like Tre's lapdog. ...and something that's been bugging me since the shopping channel task, siralan sacked Naomi pretty much because she 'chose bad products which didn't sell'. So Simon's inability to sell her choices became about her 'choosing bad products'. Yet he lumped them with those wheelchairs, which even siralan admitted was an awful choice, but Naomi got no kudos for managing to flog two of those! I'm no particular fans of hers but it seemed a bit odd, particularly when you factor in that Naomi and Tre got absolutely no direction from Simon whatsoever while they were selling and had to pretty much fly blind.... |

As other have said Kristina is the finished article. Simon will take a lot of work (and I'm not totally convinced that he won't cost SAS a lot of grief). Kristina has a real future so yes add me to the gutted list.

I think SAS got it completely wrong. Time for him to be fired and replaced by someone else for series 4 - Richard Branson would be good!!

Kristina shows a lot more confidence to me.
In a situation where she needs to concentrate and keep focussed, her eyes don't wander (which can be taken by some people that the person is lying)... Simon, under pressure, cannot look anybody straight in the eye. I wouldn't trust him if he was trying to negotiate with me I'm afraid. |
