Was all a bit staged and unfair to be honest... along with Tre, she made the show.

I agree she was one of the main characters, but im not sure that was staged. I think they just decided to try and humiliate her.

Well, it belittled them, for doing it.

What nonsense- he offered her a part in the final last week. Of course he must have known her reputation.

Shame on him for playing along.

But why did she turn up?

I felt quite sorry for her. But i guess she isn't too upset being known by the whole country. She did make the show

Almost word for word what I was just about to write. Its obvious from what SAS says in the boadroom that he's seen (at least) everything that we get to see in advance. He often picked up on the tiniest detail or comment made during the tasks with a 'Nick/Margaret tells me...blah blah blah'. He was offering Katie a place in the final last week so if she'd won the competition I assume that someone else would have found themselves 'fired' for withholding crucial information about her from him?

Pretending that was news to him just made SAS look a bit foolish in my opinion.

She is on Radio Five Live even as we speak. Katy would turn up for the opening of an envelope. It's what she does now.

I fail to see why anyone would feel sorry for this woman. She plainly chose the route she wanted to take and stuck with it.

She was incredibly nasty about several people, especially Kristina, and she thoroughly deserved what she got.

Even more so as the last task was made for Katie and she wouldn't have made the one mistake Kristina made in not grabbing Tre.

I don't know, but from the look of the weather and countryside in the shows it was filmed at the end of last year. It's quite likely, imo, that SAS wouldn't get to see any of the film in in's raw state, and therefore he wouldn't know about Katies asides to camera.

I believe that in the last series the hiring was done six months after the rest of the series was filmes.

Much as I dislike the woman, it was either pretty brave (or bloodyminded) of her to turn up for You're Hired the day after was fired...especially knowing she'd face universal derision.

I read somewhere that the candidates are obliged to take part in the Fired and Hired shows. It is specified in the contract they have to sign.

What would they do to her if she didn't turn up? Fire her?

Why didn't she (and others) turn up for the final task?

How was that a mistake exactly? Tre's big idea of the naff ship wasn't even used. I actually rate Tre but he wasn't very good in the last task at all.

Probably to extend her new media career, seeing as she earned £40,000 from interviews in one weekend (allegedly).

All the filming is done in the Autumn, Sir Alan then hires the final two for 6 months after the last task.

Sir Alan then made his final decision on who to keep on yesterday.

As you can see from the main episode, Kristina's reaction to not being hired is not very convincing (as they'd filmed both her being hired and simon being hired)

Yet in 'You're Hired', you could really see how gutted she was.

I think it's a shame we don't get a couple of extra episodes that show how the two get along whilst working for Amstrad for 6 months.

Ah well...

Back to the point, Sir Alan can't see the 'One on Camera' comments whilst filming takes place as he can only make his decision on the actual task, boardroom and advice from Nick, Margaret and other involved in the task.

However, had Katie been in the top 2, he would have seen everything by the time he made his final decision yesterday.

Are you sure that they were both working for six months in this series?

I know that happened previously but I hadn't heard of that this year.

Also if Sir Alan made his decision only yesterday, can you account for the weekend press revealing the winner's name?

SAS was brilliant on Your Hired. Katie peed him off big time and deserves a telling off for all the back biting. Well Done SAS on saying what should have been said to Katie a long time ago
