How many mbps are films on DVDs,
I tried working it out but I couldn't. A dvd does hold about 6gig doesn't it? If this is a stupid question or doesnt even make sense please don't laugh at me. ![]() Hayds |

A DVD can process upto 10mbs and this varies up and down throughout movie playback.
My Sony DVP-S715 player has a counter to show this. I think MPEG 2 is capable of higher processing rates though. |

If it is possible for upto 10mbps how does it all fit on one disc? I am probably missing something but I keep ending with a maximum of 20 minutes
