The riddle, as Wayne describes it, didnt make sense to me either.
It sounded similar to the old one about the two sisters, one of whom is lying. You solve that riddle by asking one sister "what would the other sister say if I was to ask her?".
However, for this riddle it did not sound like there was any way to ask such a question. It only seemed to say what that box would say about itself. If one tells the truth and one lies, they should always both say the same thing, whichever of the two the key is in, so you would be non the wiser. However Wayne keeps saying one said "in this box" the other said "in the other box", which does not fit unless they are both lying, or both telling the truth.
I am left wondering, either Wayne and Fash did not remember the instructions and were reporting it wrongly, or was the whole thing a setup? Perhaps there was nothing in any of the boxes...
