I was hesitant to post this but it will be such a bgi story no one will not know before it happens anyway.

BBC News website says Dirty Den is to return to EE after 14 years.

One can only imagine they are going to do one of the biggest script re-writes in history and finally solve the "did he or didn't he" question of if he died in the most sensational way possible.

Either that, or someone at the BBC had one to many at the Friday night party

More on this can be found in today's Sun.

Dirty Den Back !!!

If this is indeed the case ........ well what little credibility Eastenders has left will be lost. Totally ridiculous, an insult to the show's fans, another well-deserved nail in this rather tired soap's coffin.

If EE wish to boost ratings, how about bringing back some of those excellent characters that were written out before their time!!!

Maybe Ange will bump into him in the shower and find out that the last 14 years has all been a dream - or has that been done before?

I would really despair if UK soaps went the same way as US ones!

Seeing as they "found" Den a year after he died they would have had to do some soert of dental / DNA checks to confirm it was him?

How are they going to twist that one?

I don't know how they identified the body, but DNA checks didn't exist back then. Maybe they'll dig up his grave.

Well I knew he was coming back.

And everytime they have shown his 'death' on tv Ive always said, 'he aint dead, there's just something not right there.'

And I was right!!! He faked his own 'death'. I knew it would only be a matter of time before I was proven right!

It was always left open. They did film scenes of Den falling into canal, but they decided to leave it open and not show them, Julia Smith, Tony Holland and Keith Harris had their names removed from the end credits in protest (it was also the last episode of EE those three worked on)

They still had his funeral tho............

I must admit it was the end of an era when Julia left the programme

Yes, but no-one ever saw him fall into the canal after he was shot, you just see the smoking gun and hear a splash

Yes - I saw him recently (no, not actually Den) and he's BALD !!! And he used to be so sexy. Now Grant on the other hand ...sex on legs! Bald or not.
I hear (Sssshhhhh..) that a big property developer is coming to The Square and wants to buy up all the properties and turn it into something pukka for a Better Class of Citizen to inhabit. I guess Bealie will go along with that. Curses Never mind, Pauline will soon sort him out!
