Anyone who gives Phil Mitchell a well deserved slap is OK in my book !
And he sorted out the guy who snatched Dot's handbag too.

I know what you mean, he's quite charismatic. He really reminds me of a young Malcolm McDowell.

Hes pretty wooden in my opinion but hey he might improve with time.

You just don't understand, do you? He's suspicious of everyone.......and has to keep himself to himself. Isn't giving a thing away. Strong, silent type - a challenge to get his surface scratched!!

OK then, he's a bit wooden!!

This is great news! He was a classic villain, love him or hate him. I must admit it is a bit too far fetched though, I bit like the Dallas story line with Bobby Ewing.

I wonder if his return will have something to do with Phil leaving.

did I miss something?? Is Phil leaving?? Yessssssss About time too - do he and Peggy stroll off arm in arm into the sunset? Maybe Den is this big property developer - but then again, I can't see the upper crust warming to him.

Folks - five minutes into his first appearance and we'll have forgotten all about how/why/who/where - it'll just be WHAT is he going to be up to?

Maybe he was secretly having an affair with Laura and he's the father of the baby - well, he seems to everybody else's father!

ye i recon it has something to do with den coming in n phil leaving cause phils leaving as den comes in (bit of a coincidence. lol)

does anybody else think eastenders is trying to go back to how it all started (when it was most popular) with all theese watts n the like in it or coming into it

n maybe when he comes back n peggy n phil realise hes still alive that maybe he would still own the vic or somethin (dont critise me too much i barley remember them days and i dont understand legal procedings with death n resale or whatever happened) its just my opinion

Can you imagine Den & Peggy becoming an item???

Correct me if I am wrong but the thing I seem to remember about Den's death was they found a body in the canal and Den's ring and that was it - but I may be wrong who knows.
I agree with the previous poster that when the bunch of daffodils supposedly shot him something didn't seem right - no body falling just a bang and a splash and it was left at that really and as for the other people on the tow path at the same time.
Seems credible to me and a clever way of bringing someone back.
Did anybody see Friday nights episode in Sharon's flat and that old painting of her on the wall near the intercom and door - can anybody remember who painted it ??
And remember - it's only fiction !!!!

I noticed that Sharon has new kitchen units all of a sudden!

I heard about this last week, altho i havn't been on the boards since friday, and knew it would be a mega story on here when i got back!!

I like the idea of this, and think it will bring back viewers, as i for one will be tuning in to see it!

It's gonna be strange though, cos i mean, what they gonna have :?
Sharon seeing him, and saying " Oh Hiya, I thought you were dead!!!" LOL

Do you think we might at last see some acting from Letitia Dean? Just think how anybody would feel under these circumstances........watch this space
But I wouldn't bet on it - probably the comment above (Oh hiya etc') will apply! It must run in the family - the sister's no better - let's name the three of them The Woodentops. (Spotty Dog is out on loan!)

I agree with Gary B and Eejay - I feel almost as cheated by the BBC bosses and unimaginitive scriptwriters as I did when they reincarnated Bobby Ewing in Dallas. At least with that impossible storyline there was the surreal "Twin Peaksy" did-it-or-didn't-it-happen kind of thing to keep you mildly interested!

Also, Peppie, I thought I was the only one who remembered Den being identified by dental records. As regards how the scriptwriters will explain that little anomaly, how about this for an idea: a Dirty Den-tist ( ) who received a back-hander for giving incorrect evidence to the coroner's court?

Now there's the first real spark of what-could-be You're new (like me) - you're not one of the scriptwriters by any chance??

Daxley, if only! We'd probably do a far better job than those currently holding the enviable task of churning out what is a feeble excuse for modern day Dickens. Or am I just behaving like a frustrated armchair footie manager here?

I was wondering how many of the current residents actually knew Den. There's Sharon, Ian, Pauline, Dot. Anyone else ?

GOOD POINT !!! No, i can't think of any more.

PHIL i dont think, has never met Den, since when he and Grant first appeared on eastenders, Den was already supposedly! LOL DEAD then, and there was never any mention of the Mitchell's knowing Sharon and the other Watts' s previously.
