I don't think its been confirmed either way yet....

Spoiler
No.1 sounds the best one to me - ties in with The Sun's story the other day saying Martha was leaving. Maybe she will be abducted and the Christmas special is him trying to find/save her and it ends with her re-joining him....I hope its not No.2

Spoiler
Martha is kidnapped and the Doctor travels back in time to try and stop it, as a result he breaks the laws of time and is forced to regenerate but it all goes wrong and the Tardis explodes

Although i have to agree in terms of the point "BBC Wales staff" is practically an equivalent of the Sun quoting "a source."

They could have filmed them, but not bothered to add the CGI.

I have serious doubts too. Dojjen telling us it's confirmed by BBC Wales studio staff is slightly less credible than The Sun quoting a "source". Where is Dojjen's source?

sorry have my doubts on all three, having a big cliffhanger fr the xmas special would stop the xmas casual watching, yes both season 1 and 2 had cliffhangers but they were very minor and would not have spoilt the casuals,

This has been done to ensure that secrecy is assured - sort of.

It hasn't worked this time.

Spoiler
1. Martha is "abducted" by aliens.
2. The Tenth Doctor is "mortally" wounded and - yes - regenerates.
3. The TARDIS "explodes" from within - with the Doctor and Martha "seemingly" inside it.

The chosen scene will installed as the episode ending on Wednesday 27 June.

And, discuss.”

best laugh I've had all day.

would get yourself a new source as that sounds as reliable as a chocolate teapot. only way I will believe it if these alternate endings turn up on the series 3 boxset as extras.

i thought DT had signed to do at least part of series 4.

perhaps there is some truth in the rumour that Martha goes missing and BBC Wales has put out this story to try and make people believe that they haven't decided how the series is going to end yet to keep people and websites on their toes.

And, my dears, the episode reveals WHAT exactly
Spoiler
The Face of Boe
is/was.

And that will be the end of it.

He/it will be mentioned no more.

So she won't be in a Comic Relief sketch with the Cyberminogues who'll proceed to upgrade the audience.

Pity, I would have paid to see that

Can you really see them bothering to film 3 endings- at least 2 of which would have to be CGI heavy- then not show them? Can you say waste of taxpayers money? Shenanigans shenanigans shenanigans!

Also BBC wales will no doubt be spreading disinformation. Go up to Mark Gatiss and ask for a DW spoiler and he'll make something untrue up on the spot. Same thing.

This is about as reliable as two years ago, when the big rumoured finale was that Doc 9 would randomly open the doors of the TARDIS and jump out into the Vortex..

Believe it when I see it.....

Also, remind me not to go into any more spoiler threads, I enjoy the suprise!

The OP used spoiler tags. Don't high-light them if you don't want to know

I'll put money on it being number 2.

No he didn't - least not when I posted that. He edited the tags in after I and several others asked him to.

Does anyone really ever believe all these 'programme x shot y different endings /who dunnits/etc'?

Whoaa!

Hold on everybody! Look at Life on Mars that allegedly had 2 endings filmed. In the end it was revealed they had only filmed one, and used the story to throw the press off the scent and to try and get them off their backs.

For me, the use of "BBC Wales Staff" is exactly the same as " a source told us"....or a "a close friend of...."

Nah, if anybody in BBC Wales has leaked this then RTD is part of the plot and is using this a s way ( a well established way) of generating publicity for the show.

None of those will be the end, and my own view is the ending will be a cliffhanger that won't be resolved until the Christmas episode. This will then generate more publicity and rive the Xmas ratings show through the roof.

Or am I just too cynical?

I believe they did for the Dallas who shot JR story. Not so sure about this one.

It's so obviously going to be ending 1. It will be extremely last-minute cliffhanger like Catherine Tate appearing in the Tardis at the end of Doomsday. They'll drop Jack off, everything will seemingly be all right then suddenly she is taken. The Christmas episode will be the Doctor trying to get her back.

The
Spoiler
Doctor and Martha saying goodbye to CJH
could happen before one of sed 3 endings.

Although it is interesting what
Spoiler
the Doctor does to Jack's wristwatch - confirming it may have had something to do with him getting back from the GameStation in S1

I don't see why a quick cliffhanger ending can't happen AFTER they've said goodbye to Jack.

Exactly.
Spoiler
The 9th Doctor seemed fine immediately after he'd absorbed the Vortex, so there's no reason why some trauma from LotTL couldn't cause Doc 10 to regenerate after he's returned CJH to 2008.
