Vestel LCD IDTV software
Shameless crosspost, I need confirmation of the current software version for these units.

As far as i'm aware, this chassis is used in the JVC set only (possibly Toshiba but i'm not 100% sure).
Vestel aren't great for broadcasting updates, but on the other hand they're not generally known for poor quality software in the first place. The IDTV software they use is unique to every chassis and this is a relatively new one. Personally i'd return it and go for something other than Vestel though, or one of the cheaper Vestel units! |

Ta for that. Seems like the same chassis is used for Toshiba, yes.
I'm all for a bit of badge engineering, but this is getting daft... If their software is normally stable-ish, it does seem like a return is in order. |

Their software is usually VERY stable, yeah.
General rule of thumb is that most under 23" IDTV's are made by Vestel with the exception of Sony, Panasonic and DMTech. I've no doubt there's others but i've not seen them, they're mainly Vestel (you can usually tell by either the OSD or the barcodes on the rating plate). |
