Good point. I guess its that sort of inevitability which will cramp this otherwise promising two-part finale into the groud.

Apparently they recorded over 6 minutes of Cyber-fighting from last years finale, but was cut down to less than one because of (drum roll....) LACK OF TIME!!!

They should make Part 13 an hour long or something, to make it more special than the others.

I always thought they should do extended last episodes. That extra 15 minutes would make it that much more special.

I am soooooooooo looking forward to tomorrow. I don't think I've ever been as excited about an episode of Dr Who before.

I don't care if the rest of the show is rubbish, just to see the look on the Doctors face when there's a regeneration and the Master's there laughing at him.....

Gawd - Martha saving the world?! I wish to heck they`d get rid of her, she`s a dreadful actress and I don`t like the character.

I just hope if the Doctor is helpless, he won`t be doing his screaming routine again.

Apart from that - nice to finally have some concrete spoiler information.

Well, I wasn't going to click but finally gave in and all I can say is wow!

Sounds like this and next Saturday's episodes are going to provide a lot of the setup for the finale (as normal)

Looking forward to these last 3 episodes!

Like the sound of the
Spoiler
New Time Lord Empire - presumably, the New Shortlived Time Lord Empire, like the Daleks in 'Doomsday'

Sounds good anyway, although the bit about

Spoiler
only Martha being able to save the day
is a bit worrying”

It is.

Oooh, but look at Jack.

What I don`t understand is - if there is a new Empire of Time Lords - how the heck couldn`t the Doctor create some more Time Lords if it`s that easy?!

I don't think it's a thing the doctor would do, being a bit evil and stuff....

Sorry, I meant that

Spoiler
considering the comments about the series being about the Doctor rather than his assistant, it's worrying (for some) script-wise that it looks like Martha will be centre-stage to come to the rescue rather than the Doc

This must tie in with the reports of
Spoiler
Martha in combat gear, being assisted by the Doctor from Eastenders while The Doctor and Saxon (in black suit ) are fighting on a hill top as part of the finale.

Spoiler
what I found interesting was the rise of the new Time Lord Army from the ashes which is something I was wondering when I first heard the title of this episode at the beginning of the series.

as for the confirmation that it is The Master, well yes we all guessed ages ago

bit of an own goal by the BBC revealing the real identity of Mr Saxon before Utopia has aired.

Doesn't actually confirm that this is Saxon.

For those who don't want to know, but insist on reading BBC press releases 2-3 weeks ahead of the episode or threads marked *Major Spoiler*

Yes, not a clever thing for the Beeb to do - but it's starting to get a bit endearing really, isn't it.

I was only pointing out that because one character is mentioned in that write-up and another is known to be in the episode, that doesn't prove that there is any link whatsoever, I mean, you might think that, but I couldn't possibly say.

Wonder if "toclafane" is an anagram of "clan o' fate".
And if the last in the title is singular or plural
