"I'm no good at weddings.....especially my own..."

I'm amazed there isn't more discussion about this little line...

We all love the little throwaway details about The Doctor, but is this the first time he's admitted to being married?

I guess he had quite a life before he ran away from his people etc.....but married eh?

Who was the lucky lady do we think.... Is there a Doctress out there? The Nurse?

Could be he was talking about missing his own.

Or maybe he was refering to the wedding that never was in FOB.

(That's Family of Blood, not Face of Boa. Don't want people getting confused and thinking that the Doctor is married to the Face of Boa – there are some pretty wild ideas out there already)

well its not a prerequisite to be married to have a granddaughter but the Doctor being an old fashioned sort of guy probably would have awwwww

Could just be referring to the fact that in 900+ years he's never found the right 'girl' and held on to her long enough to get that far. In other words he's joking about his loneliness.

Although it would be a rather odd way of expressing it, so Who knows.

Also ties in with the series one comments about having a family.
I always assumed he was married at some point, hence Susan calling him Grandfather.
The only potential problem with that being, in the novels, Timelords are "loomed" as in Lungbarrow.

Didn't he accidentally marry Cameka (sp) in the Aztecs WAAAAY back in 1964?

He'd never be able to get away with being late for his own wedding...

Turning up in the TARDIS beats a limo any day... but what affect would tying tin cans to the doors have on it's time travelling ability?
