Toshiba Wlt66 (sleep Timer ??)
I bought this TV for my elderly father, actually a few months ago, but due to health problems, he has only just started using it over the past few weeks.
However the sleep timer does not work In the booklet, it says to:- Press Menu Move to timer menu the sleep timer is supposed to be here, but all this section does it let me set programme timers (ie to jump to a certain station at a set time) As the TV helps dad get to sleep, the sleep timer is vital Can anybody help please? thanks in advance

I've got a 37WLT66, and have just tried mine - it is exactly as described in the manual.
I press 'MENU' then use the right direction button on the control pad around the OK button to move along to the TIMER MENU, then the down direction button to highlight sleep timer, then use the left/right direction arrows to select the amount of time that the set is to run for (up to 12hrs in 10 minute increments). I do not have anything that lets me select when it changes to a certain channel. Not being funny, but you are pressing the MENU button, and not the GUIDE button which is directly to the right of it? |

When I wrote my post I was at my own house but I have double checked dad's TV
I push MENU and there are three optins (1) the left hand option is SETUP MENU There are grey options as follows:- Auto Tuning down to Reset TV If you move down the grey box changes to yellow (2)the centre option is TIMER MENU Only one grey box after this .. ie programme timers (3) right hand option is FEATURE MENU 5 grey boxes, from parental control down to software upgrade Sorry, no sleep timer option |

You get a different menu if you have the TV on the terrestrial digital channels rather than the analogue channels or an external source.
Switch to an analogue channel and then try. |

The manual is somewhat misleading.
Press MENU Select TV SETUP Scroll right and you should get to Sleep Timer - it's an entirely separate section to the programme timer. |
