As funny as this is post is, it's also likely to be true. Credit where it's due though, RTD done well with Utopia. It was definitely "edge of your seat" stuff - I really, really enjoyed the episode.

They need to sign you up as a script writer ASAP ... you're obviously on the right wavelength!

Drinks are on me at The Gallifrey Inn Public House if The Doctor describes The Master's plan as "diabolical" before the end of the series!

yep but that will be it.

and RTD's excuse? He is writing for KIDS.

and thats the differrence between RTD and Moffat...

I wonder how many under 10s understood the complicated and briolliant time paradoxes of the |Blink episode? to Moffat it doesnt matter - he doesnt write for kids and babies...

If anything, proved right!

This episode showed just how clueless and lazy he appears to be. If you had an ending that would blow the fans away, then you're well on your way to writing quite possibly the best episode ever. All you have to do, is make the rest of the writing and the storytelling match the standard of that ending, and you've done it! Sadly, it seems he couldn't be arsed. So while the ending still blows fans away, the rest of the tale really isn't worth a second viewing.

must confess I pressed fast forward to the last 10 mins which I have watched a few times...just for Jacobi and the dialogue between TD and CJ.
