Steve MacDonald or Joe Carter
eponine

Who'd you go for?

Personally I think Joe looks like a character from Thunderbirds. Sometimes I can almost see the strings. I've always had a soft spot for Steve though.

I agree... hopefully, Karen will see Joe for what he really is and go back to Steve. Them two make me laugh

Steve and karen are so good together. The best pairing in Corrie since Jack and Vera in their heyday.

They were the Street's first comedy duo that I remember (no doubt to be corrected if I'm wrong). Jack the would-be womaniser and Vera the loud mouthed machinist at Baldwin's Casuals as it was then called.

I recall one particularly funny episode where Bet Lynch (?) went to a dating agency and saw a tape of Jack in which he used another name and described himself as a singer (?). Bet had a word with Vera who contacted Jack but pretending to be another woman. They arranged to meet in the Rovers (great place for a married local man to meet another woman!) and Vera was sitting all dressed up with another wig on, her back to him.

Imagine how funny it was when Jack sat down next to her and whispered sweet things in her ear. As I remember Vera hounded Jack out of the pub much to the amusement of all concerned.

Now you mention it - yes they were. I can just remember Hilda was so proud of the "muriel" in her living room and Stan couldn't do anything right.
