Rosie Webster
What a nasty spoilt little brat she's turned into hasn't she? I am totally amazed that there aren't any scenes wher either Kevin or Sally smacks her! How is she gonna learn not to be such a brat if she isn't punished properly?

Yeah because all rebellious 12 yr olds should be hit hard! That'll show 'em that violence is the right way to solve things, great stuff.

Yes this is good from Corrie, but it made me laugh at how they've portrayed this as behavior for a typical 12 - 13 year old. My sister started acting like that when she was seven! LOL

Well soap is never like real life! As you described in your 'so-not-true-to-life' topic!

Since bringing in more youngsters in a while back Corrie has done quite a few storylines pertinent to them and this just another of those. Remember when David Platt was the son of the devil? Now after he opened his soul to Vera everyone loves him to bits. So yes, Rosie is a nasty brat and in real life you would want to murder her. I'm sure the storyline will run for a while longer before she is banished to her bedroom for a few months in which to transform into an entirely different person altogether

I don't think it's assault but you could probably get the license taken away from the place that did it - that said the sort of place that would do that kind of thing probably don't have a license - so she could have get hepatitis or anything from there

I wasn't asked for any sort of ID though but I am pretty sure you are supposed to have a parents permission. I got away with it because I passed for 18 at the time but there is clearly no way that Rosie Webster could pass for anything more than 12!!!Surely it can't be legal for a 12/13 year old to have her belly pierced without her parents consent? Wouldn't it be classed as assault? And regarding the punishment - I can't beleive they aren't more mad at her! When I told my mum and dad I was promptly grounded for 2 months and constanly reminded just how much I had let them down!! My mum even brings it up now sometimes when we fight nearly 5 years later!! |

I think belly button piercing looks horrible

Although frankly, with parents like Sally and Kevin, I think I'd go off the rails, too.
It was SO obvious something like this was gonig to happen, though, you just knew they'd turn Rosie into some wild child . Will be interesting to see how she turns out as an actress, she's been in it for a good few years, hasn't she?

Well actually, they only replaced her with this new actress about 18 - 24 months ago. They always do that when they are planning to turn "the-quiet-kid-who's-always-upstairs-playing-in -their-room", into a wild child. I can think of a few off-hand in Nick, Sarah Lou, Donna Windsor in Emmerdale, Louise Rogers in Brookie, etc etc |
