That doesn't surprise me at all as I said when he left the competition I thought we'd see him in a touring Joseph as Bill was really keen on him. Well done Craig if the rumours are true.

I also think we will see Lewis as Joseph somewhere whether it be in a tour or on the West End some time in the future.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Lewis doing Lee's nights off. Remembers ALW's comments backstage about he would be on the west end soon

posted in another thread but as that one is more concerned with food and weather(!) it may have got lost

ok heres an update on ben and lee dennison - found this via a "friend" who works in the industry

Casting Director Lee dennison is waiting until all musical theatre touring is finished and any West End dates are finalised (!!) There is a possibility of the Pet Shop Boys Musical CLOSER TO HEAVEN being revived in 2008 across Europe and USA which Lee cast for when it was being workshoped.

As you can tell by his website Lee casts MAJOR Film and TV in UK and USA and it is understood Lee wants Ben to meet some of his USA contacts as he has the "right face and eyes" for some work.

I spoke with someone recently who knows Lee, apparantly he cannot stand reality shows but was really impressed with Ben and his conduct and felt he should have been in the last 3 and not that grinning teeth scottish lad! Lee doesn't do much theatre casting though again does know alot of people and can point him in the right direction should film and tv not be Bens thing. I also heard what might happen is some form of cameo just to see what he is like on camera, again this is a new departure for Lee who usually works with top named artistes.

WOW! this is great and exciting news especially for someone who came 4th!

Oh yes, white rabbits you are so right.
Noone got into my imagination more than Craig. Day one, massive appeal to me as Joseph. From the inside I could see him. (I am tidgy bit weird, yes) but he can't help giving out to people. It's a natural and unknown gift. Wonderful to see, and rare Professionally, he learned the way to really feel lyrics come the end and he managed to fulfil his ambition to be accepted as credible artist. His voice matured and grew, he opened up and out his chest voice (I was waiting Zoe! but wowee, worth it in the end x) Coupled with his gorgeously smooth and rich, near perfect tone, it's no surprise is it that he's been given his dearest dream (allegedly) The hard work and the effort he put in, his likeabilty and down to earth attitude has paid off! His exit song makes me swell with pride Lucky I'm little. I'm so damn proud I am lol.

Hope it won't be long 'til we hear the official news and get buying tickets. I got mine \o/ They're on sale for the August onwards tour now, but with no confirmation of the role of Joseph, as yet. Johnathan Parkins' (current J on Tour) contract expires on July

Well the touring production's coming to Cardiff in November, so I'll definitely go if Craig's going to be performing.

Keith sang at the concert to celebrate opening of Scottish parliament on 30th June. He has a record deal with Louis Walsh.

Keith is on for about 10 minutes plus on stage and backstage interview, about 2 hours 6 minutes into the show.

No idea if this is official or not, but on another site, someone posted that Lewis will be playing Rolf in the Sound of Music. (thank you, kind poster, for sharing this info ).

Assuming it's true, it doesn't surprise me that ALW is taking care of his golden boy. And it wouldn't be at all a bad part for him, though I hope he gets a haircut. For some reason, Lewis' floppy locks seem totally out of keeping with the character.

Hahahahah, Lewis playing evil Rolf is too funny for words, so I will resort to smilies

Thanks for that. As I've never seen the Sound of Music can someone tell me what kind of part that is?

I had heard he was up for the part and mentioned this to a friend of his last week and he said that he was going for it, so I guess it's true.
