From reading a few posts, I gather that the one of the twins was telling Gerry that Brian had won them the task but that Gerry seemed to be disagreeing? Can someone enlighten me on exactly what was said?

Don't know exactly what was said, but I think Gerry appeared to think Brian couldn't have passed the task because he's too thick
I like Gerry, but he's starting to wear a bit thin (like his hair after Nicky finished with it

Thanks for the info. That's the impression I'd gotten from the other posts. Unlike you, I don't like Gerry and resent him trying to take away credit from Brian.
Brian took the bait (that BB had given him) at the right time and won them the task. That's all Gerry needs to know. There's no need for Gerry to try to intellectualise the whole thing. Grrrr

Maybe his fans are just less talkative?
Having said that, I've seen quite a number of posters say that Brian is their favourite or is becoming their favourite so he is gaining fans. A number of appreciation threads have been started for Brian which, if that were not the case, then the numbers would be bolstered in this thread which would prevent this thread from disappearing so quickly.
Personally, in between going to work and watching the LF, I find that I have very little to say about Brian as it seems to me that BB focuses more on some of other housemates. It's his DR entries that mostly give me an opportunity to have something positive to say about him.

Likewise. It would be great to have a genuinely funny and entertaining winner, rather than one who wins largely because teenage girls find them attractive.
Brian featured heavily tonight and was on top form as usual.
Big Brother telling him Pauline was a fake in the Diary Room. Then afterwards when he ran into the toilet to report on his own mission to show up Pauline. Also him winning the task was a great moment.

I am totally loving Brian, dumb act or not, He is the only HM to make me laugh out loud nightly on the HL show since he arrived. I so hope he stays like this and stomps over everyone to the win on final night. I don't know about a romance between them; I'd fear for him. But that scene between them when she reassured him that no one would chant "Get Brian out" and that he'd be there a long time was very sweet. It even seemed genuinely so.
