Get a grip!!
Does this forum ever change?!
Moaning about the state of EE, its like the doctor who forum moaning about the new series. What do people expect from the mad may storyline, they needed an URGENT re-write so they didn't act irresponsible in the light of the mcgann case. How can they make the storyline make much sense, for months! the have been setting it up for a kidnap storyline by May, they cant go back and alter already shown episodes, so would you rather we forget what happened, or embellish it. Who cares that Rob quickly changed sides, i don't understand the confusion personally. Maybe he was acting with her all along, maybe he had change of heart, wo knows. but we do know that Dawn is due her baby realistically so the storyline needs to finsih soon so they needed too do the best job they could. People spouting all this rubbish "oh EE will be axed in a month" "the end of EE" sorry are we forgetting some of the other storylines soaps do? -Village Storm: Emmerdale -Mad Maya -Trickie Dickie (a serial killer) -Who killed tom King - Killer Tracey -Killer Katy - All the Baldwin stuff w/ Frankie etc - and this faking yor own death thing with the grandad on corrie. Nt. Funny. not to say that EE has been perfect, but lets not call the ketlle black when there's plenty of pots around as well!! |

Hardly a spoiler considering she mentioned it just now in tonight's episode. She's having her wake next Monday.

I really don't see how May taking a newborn baby from a hospital is the same as a 4 year old girl being stolen from a holiday house in portugal. I don't understand why they should even entertain rewriting the storyline because it vaguely relates to something that has happened in another country in completely different circumstances. It just leaves the programme appearing disjointed and slightly strange all for the sake of giving in to media hype surrounding a case no different to 100's of others around the world each year.
**end of rant*** |

Well you're just asking for trouble by posting this thread. There are way too many threads slagging off EastEnders, I agree, but what makes your opinion so special that it gets it's own thread? Why couldn't you have posted it in one of the existing threads - or should we all just start a thread each containing our opinion of EastEnders just now?

Haven't you realised that people are never ever ever happy with Eastenders?
It either needs to be axed because it is too boring and has dull characters or it needs to be axed because it is OTT. Eastenders never win. It just gets boring, especially when you compare it's state to the constant murders/explosions/OTT plots in other soaps. |

May was always going to end up doing something ridiculiously OTT in desperation, because that's just how desperate she is. She's been popping pills for weeks and doing all sorts of unhinged things, and afterall "What May wants, May gets"
And i can't believe tbh people are complaining about Eastenders being too sensational, because compared to many other recent soap storylines it isn't that bad, and it certainly hasn't received as much hype. |

Isn't the point of a soap discussion forum that you can discuss soaps?

It's pure scaremongering and mindless ranting. But to the OP, I really wouldn't let it concern you, people have been saying EE will be axed in 1 month, 6 months, 12 months etc since 2003. Four years on, did it happen? No. |

Yes it is but when you get irrational comments like EE will be axed in 12 months etc then the OP does have a very valid point.
