Hmm...Personally I would put forth some Nerina Pallot; Sophia or Damascus in particular. Also, Brenda Russell - Piano In The Dark, Muse - Starlight, MCR - Famous Last Words, Regina Spektor - On The Radio, Billy Joel - She's Always A Woman etc.

I do this every night before I go to sleep. The Music Consists of whatever's next on my mp3. I even, somehow, manage to relax when a favourite song of mine comes on.

The Knife - Silent Shout
Lovely to chill out to. And lyrics just designed to induce crazy dreams!

Currently it's the new Blu Mar Ten LP entitled Black Water. Dreamy summer chill out gear.

I usually do that whenever I find it hard to fall asleep. Keeping the eyes shut and listening to Whitney Houston's or Celine Dion's songs. Mostly I'll have a sweet dream then.
It's good to relax the nerves.

I'll say those songs by Scottish and British bands.. they all have sort of a pattern to put someone to sleep (in a good way)
e.g.: Closer- Travis and yeah almost all of Coldplay's.

Seriously?

that would give me nightmares.
Even if you are fan, I can't see it as relaxing music.

Should I listen to James Blunt's? That would be my another choice anyway.
Or maybe you have refferences to give me?
