ISF calibration specialist help?
Hi i bought a samsung LE40m87BDx last week and although generaly very happy i have spent many late nites trying to calibrate the set.I hve video essentials calibration dvd but this doesnt seemt o help. I am thinking of getting in a specialist . Anyone know of how I can go about this and what the general rule of thumb would be for costs etc and if it would be worth it?

why pay someone when you will get it set to someone elses taste?
i presume you followed all the instructions and your still not happy so that leaves the question why? the problem is you will be watching it for films and then you watch normal tv and its too dark/ bright i would work out what or where the picture is going wrong. if its sky telly is it in HD? using HDMI ? dvd using a poor scart? if your telly uses preset screen settings you could use FILM for dvds and then PERSONAL for everyday stuff good luck as this is a minefield to answer but save your money |

I tried one of the settings as recommended on the hdtvtest site and they are vastly improved. Alot of people say the quality of HDMI cables dosent matter and the one sky provided is good enough should i get a decent cable or leave the one I have alone?
