Don't know if this is the right place or if anyone has a solution but here goes: I have a 20+ year old portable tv that gives a great picture. Trouble is, it doesn't have a scart socket. At the moment I'm ok receiving terrestrial channels & I have a vcr linked up. However I assume I'll loose the terrestrial when the UK goes digital & I'll need freeview or similar. I understand these connect with scart cables. So... can I get a cable with scart at one end & pin plug at the other?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can buy RF modulators, that will take a composite feed from a digibox (or any other AV for that matter) and modulate it onto an RF carrier (similar to that of some of the domestic CCTV systems). The modulator can be programmed to use any of the standard channels (RF 21-68).

Maplin's is a good start, although you may find some cheaper on eBay.

Although adapters do exist. It would be easier just to buy a freeview box that has a RF output.

just to clarify, you need a Freeview box with "RF Modulator". What most have is the "lesser" "RF Loopthrough" which just passes on the analogue signals, which wont be any good for you.

Just a thought - another option - if your VCR has SCART, you could buy any Freeview box and connect it to the Video with scart, then set the VCR to AV1 and the video will send the sound+vision from its scart (freeview) up the existing aerial cord to the old tv. But this will restrict the useability of the Video - eg, leaving on AV1 so you can view freeview.
