Hey,
I love Brett Anderson he is ab fab, I saw him live 3 times in the last 3 months, I am so glad he decided to do a solo album, even if many didn't like it as much because it wasn't suede.

Any other Suede/Brett Anderson fans out there?
Since he is releasing his 2nd single soonish.

Loved Suede. Saw them live a few times, they were quite something and Anderson was outrageously good as a front man although clearly totally off his head.

My favourite album is Dog Man Star. I got the hits DVD recently (in a Borders sale - for a QUID) which is excellent. The commentary is pretty telling.

Glad to hear he is well. So how were the solo shows compared to the Suede gigs?

Another Suede fan here. My favourite songs are "Killing of a Flashboy", "The Wild Ones", "Beautiful Ones" and "Indian Strings". I know it wasn't popular with most fans but I really loved the "A New Morning" album.

Excellent, he is doing stuff with Fred ball and he has Mat playing at his live gigs, he is still as magnetic as ever. I actually amazing how he captivates his audience.

Hey, nice to see I am not alone, I really loved those songs too, I think being a fan, doesn't mean going with the majority, a lot of fans don't like the new album, but then it is a solo project and a lot of time has passed since the Suede days.

its not only 3. I love Suede stuff too. I have many many friends who still regularly listen to Dog Man star. Am I the only one who has the US version of Dog Man Star by 'London Suede' with a fabulous hidden track......I did not know of the hiddeen track...it starts about 30 secs after the last song has finished playing....found out after a year when i left the disc in the machine.

Oh great, I remember they had to change their name for copyright reasons in the US, Dog Man Star seams to be the album that people talk about most.
I love it when you have cd and much much later discover something about Hidden Tracks. Any idea what the song is called?

The song is called 'modern boys'. I think it was released a few years later in the Uk in some compliation album.

'Coming up' was also equally good but disappointed with head music

What did you find dissapointing about it? I guess there aren't that many good tracks on there, I agree.
He does do a mean live set though, still brings on some of the Suede stuff

In Croydon there used to be a small pub (not far from Yates). It was really small, old and just one little bar. But on one side they had a DJ who played only Indie music. It was very very popular with young indie crowd. In fact the DJ knew the favourite music of most of the crowd and would remember to play your favourite tracks the next time you were in. Because the target market was so narrow, it kept all the riff raff out and it really was a fab place to be. Sadly the place shut down in 2000.

I loved Suede.

Did anyone know that 'Charmless Man' by Blur is rumoured to be about Brett?

Oh isn't that because they didn't like eachother... can't quite remember if he lost his gf to one of the blur guys or if that was another band.
