Glastonbury - green?
To be honest I could not care less. I have never been to glastonbury. I am not a big fan of rolling around in mud. Why is the news plugging it as green ???????. A bunch of corporate arsholes pretending to be 'rock and roll' for the weekend does not wash it with me.

So what exactly are you complaining about? The fans who are having a great time ( surely YOU must do that sometimes) or the bands providing the entertainment? As far as the music goes, I watched some of the coverage on the "red button", which was a great way to see a few acts that you might miss if you just watch the normal coverage, and thought it looked fantastic. From the bits i saw, I though Jack Penate, Gogol Bordello, Kasabien, The Coral and Rufus Wainwright were all very good.

why is it that a large proportion of people are just walking about. After a few hours of that it must get boring especially when you can see very little of whats going on in the stage and you are forever creening your neck.
Besides the sound is not as good as when you are seeing it on the telly. Look at some of those on the periphery trying desparately to look interested and swaying to the music only to give up after a few minutes. So all in all it ends up being a few friends chatting away as they do every weekend in the pub only this time they have paid a load of money for the privelege and are forever under pressure to look as if they are really really enjoying it. Suckers. |

Suckers. Its all about atmosphere and having a laugh, some of the best weekends of my life were spent at festivals (Im 34 now and too old for camping ) but the whole atmosphere and vibe between everyone makes the two or three days fantastic.
