Hitachi 42PD9700 remote problem: help please!
The top collection of buttons above the circular rocker selector have stopped working. I've changed the battery and if worse comes to worse I can claim on the warranty, however I was wondering if someone out there has experienced this before and knows a quick fix (though I can't see a reset button etc). Cheers.

Can't say that I have ever had that problem before, but if you want to control the TV,make sure it is on TV by pressing the SEL button. It might be inadvertantly on DVD or SAT.You probably have tried this already, but it's just a thought. If you can't get them to work,go back to the shop where you bought it and get them to sort you out with a new one.

before reading the replies here I discovered that the SEL button had been sat on by some other member of the family I even had a reply from Hitachi to take the batteries out for a minute and hold down the standby button for a further minute to reset the remote. Thanks for the advice anyway

Remember, the Hitachi PD9700's have motorised swivel stands and various other features that an OFA remote wouldn't control. |
