Automatic scart switch

Looking for a scart switch that changes automatically when the device is turned on. Friends have had ones in the past where they've had to physically press a button on the scart switch to change the device over.

Seen one on eBay which might do away with the need to manually change over devices. Check out the link below and let me knwo if this would do the job?

At that price, I'd expect a degree of signal bleeding. The cheaper ones tend to do that.

Having said that, if it works completely clean - it's a bargain. If it doesn't, at least it was only a tenner.

Where's a good sit on the web for buying an automatic scart switching box of a quality that wouldn't bleed signal?

No idea mate .... I just know the cheaper ones are prone to it.

I use two blocks of manual ones at the moment.

I do have a 4 way automatic one I got off a guy at work (he gave it away when he switched to an AV amp) which he says worked fine.

Haven't got round to setting it up yet and it's buried at the the bottom of cupboard so I can't check what kind it is. But, from memory, it looks very like this one:

B&Q sell a 4-way automatic switcher, with a manual override. Can't vouch for it at all, but I saw it for the first time this weekend - it might be handier for you if you have a B&Q nearby. I was quite impressed with the range of SCART and video interconnects that had actually.

Keene have got one http://www.keene.co.uk/electronics/m...hp?mycode=KSCB but this is a bit pricey. There is another quite well-known electronics site that has one, but it's so well-known I can't quite think of it at the moment.

[EDIT] Ah yes, Bluedelta: http://www.bluedelta.co.uk/Smart-SCART_pdf.htm
