agill

For the last couple of weeks Mark & Lard (radio 1) have been doing the worst ever lyrics in songs with the winner to be announced today.

Desray and Life some lirics were "don't want to meet a gost i'd rather have a piece of tost" they rang her up a couple of weeks ago she said it was just a bit of fun and the last song wrote for the album also she said she was eating some toast and she was sorry for any upset caused, she sounded quite honest and normal (if you know what I mean).

Mark and Lard themselves have come up with some shockers....

*to the tune of Travis's 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me'*

Why is it always Dairylea / When on the contract, it stipulated Brie

and now for the song in full

( to the tuen of travis, why does it always rain on me )

I cant sleep tonight, I don’t know why I but I feel like shyte,
And I cant close my eyes, without seeing a chuffin craft cheese slice.
Processed cheese, what have they done,
That bloody Philadelphia tastes like
Come, into the chorus with us now

Why is it always dairy leah, when in the contract it stipulated brie,
Why is it always dairy leah, we’ve got some nice red wine in ,
I was looking forward to dining.

I want Emendale, nice fresh edam in a waxy red roll,
Cheddar, grouier, red Leicester, double Gloucester,
Camembert,
Wensley dale, we haven’t got, this primula cheese spread just tastes like
ItSnot what you want really is it? No.

Why is it always dairy leah….

Oh where did the blue cheese go?
They couldn’t be arsed to visit Tesco
And shop for a range of excellent fresh cheeses from their delicatessen counter,
For surprisingly reasonable prices

Why is always dairy leah……

Why is it always dairy leah, why is it always dairy leah
Oh noo.

And now for the lyrics spelled correctly and in the right place...

( to the tune of Travis 'Why Does it Always Rain on Me?')
(Lard's interjections in brackets)

I cant sleep tonight, I don’t know why I but I feel like shite,
And I cant close my eyes, without seeing a chuffin Kraft cheese slice.
Processed cheese, what have they done,
That bloody Philadelphia tastes like
(Come into the chorus with us now!)

Why is it always Dairylea,
When in the contract it stipulated Brie?
Why is it always Dairylea,
We’ve got some nice red wine in,
I was looking forward to dining.

I want Emmenthal, nice fresh Edam in a waxy red ball,
Cheddar, Gruyere,
Red Leicester, Double Gloucester,
Camenbert,
Wensleydale, we haven’t got,
This primula cheese spread just tastes like
('Snot what you want really is it?) No.

Why is it always Dairylea,
When in the contract it stipulated Brie?
Why is it always Dairylea,
We’ve got some nice red wine in,
I was looking forward to dining.

Yes...Travis are such a good band normally, how could they even think of writing a song about cheese. Dunno what the world is coming to

"He was a boy, she was a girl.
Can you get any more obvious!!!"

Desray should still win though. The really pap lyrics suits the mood of her song.

With respect to Travis writing about cheese. The pure tones written about fish addiction.

"Going down the chippy with an expression on my face.
They totally know my problem.
I'm totally addicted to plaice. [Bah bah bah buh]
Fishy Wishy."

Isnt it 'Can I make it any more obvious'?

thats a very subtle lyric actually, because it IS obvious. Ironic in the way Alannis Morrisette was.

deja vu anyone?

Can't anyone spell Des'ree?

And my vote goes to Supersister and 'Coffee'...

The band are (or were...not sure) fab eye candy but musically absolute turkeys

I'm sorry for the spelling mistake but I was never in to that sort of music so I never new how she spelt her name, and as for the pure tone refferance did you pinch that from Chris Moyles as he did a paradee of that song useing them lyrics?

No...I knew Mr Moyles many years ago and he likes to 'borrow'....
