Amazon have a good range, just click on your price range on the left-hand side of the page here. Try sticking to something with a brand name.

I own this one myself and can highly recommend it. Pocket sized and excellent in low light so great pictures in the pub in the evening as well as your holiday snaps during the day ...

If you can do better for £80, I applaud you!

Exactly.

Which is why anyone with any sense will buy memory cards online. They are, and always have been, a lot cheaper.

Same applies with SD. Yes, they may be a bit cheaper than XD, but they'll still be a hell of a lot dearer than they are online.

If you want to exclude a camera on the basis of the memory card it takes then thats your perogative. It's hardly a good reason in my book ....

LOL .... just had another quick look online. The Apple store are selling a 256mb XD for £49.99 !!!!!!! I wonder if anyone has ever been stupid enough to actually buy that ?!?!?!?

I see what you're saying but people going into stores looking for a digital camera to use immediately won't be buying them online.

I just got a Vivitar 6324 from Amazon for£49.99 with free delivery.Had a play about with it and it seems to do the job,6MP,3 x Optical Zoom,2.5 inch screen, takes movies with sound etc.Deliberately ran the batteries into the ground to see what the lifetime was like, switched off and on numerous times, took around 50 photos, viewed them a few times, played about with settings, couple of quick videos, viewed on PC a couple of times so for a couple of standard duracells I thought that wasn't too bad. Also got a 2GB SD card for just over £9(could have got it cheaper but this was the cheapest direct from Amazon which was included in the free postage). Was tempted to go for the Casio Exilim Z75 they are doing for £100 but for 50 quid it does all I'm looking for.
